Parent: Our son is currently in the 2nd grade. He has been at the school for two years, and it has been a wonderful experience. The enthusiasm of the teachers, who are truly experts in the subjects they teach, is infectious. They consistently set high standards for all students at every stage of their academic career. This is a school that prioritizes academics and the students themselves; it is targeted to students with intellectual curiosity and a strong work ethic. We are very happy here!

Junior: I really really liked how everyone knew who everyone was. I also liked the diversity in the classes. It is also a good experience because you are able to connect more with the teachers and students.
What I did not like was that yes everyone knew who everyone was but sometimes it also made it easier to mess with each other or to get everyone into trouble. I also did not like how some people react towards a different person there. Sure, there are the lovely people but then you also have a few that are a little to much with their country ness.

Remsen-Union High School
- Remsen-Union Community School District, IA
High School Senior: Remsen-Union has taught me to try until I succeed in things. What makes this school different is the teachers here. Teachers take as much time as you need 1v1 until you understand. They are fun, and can joke around with the students. I like the environment here, everyone knows everyone. There is no bullying or violence, we are all well behaved here to an extent. I will always remember pep-rallies here. They are always fun including cheers and games. The games usually involve a guy and girl from each class, sometimes a teacher. Whether it is doing barrel races or getting a pie throw into your face, it is always fun.
