Senior: UCAS is an amazing school! It's an early college high-school where you get to take tons of concurrent enrollment classes and you can graduate high school with an associates degree. I think it's fantastic! While there aren't many clubs, and we have no sports or fine arts programs, it is such a wonderful environment to learn in. The class sizes are small, allowing for more personal connection and better learning. This school encourages students to find themselves and what career paths they want to go down, and it's very helpful. You definitely need to be more academically-motivated to do well at this school, but even if you are lacking in some areas, our teachers and staff do a lot to help each student one-on-one, and you will always get the help you need. Despite the focus on academics, the small school size promotes closer friendships with students, and it's really amazing. Alum: What makes KGMPA stand out amongst other schools in Utah are the genuine teachers and their great teaching methods. Every teacher I have had truly cares about their students and their educational journeys. As it is a small school, everyone knows each other, which makes for great and lasting bonds. I will miss many of my teachers who have helped me grow my confidence in many different fields of study. The only factor about Maeser that I didn’t enjoy is the high expectations. I am a relatively average student, so being surrounded by over-achievers who have impressive resumes really provided me with a battle of comparison. Be prepared to work yourself and establish a good relationship with your own self image, because it can get tough at times. Senior: Itineris Early College High School has been a great academic college prep school! I am graduating with my associates degree in science which the school has helped me achieve in the most cost effective way. The school itself has a large diverse student body that brings many cultures and different people together on a whole new level. The one negative about this school is that it doesn’t offer any sports and for most people in high school sports in a big deal to them, especially me. So if your looking for sports you would have to go do a sport at a outside school or something independent like something as simple as going to the gym which is what I have done to coupe with education and staying active. Besides that the school offers many opportunities regarding your education and growth personally, and academically. Junior: Educatoin is a very important factor in our dad to day lives. We are nothing without knowlage. Our backrounds are what separte us from eachother and West High schools makes it feel like we are all equal. Everybody feels supported and safe. We all love West High and they know how to be a commmunity. West High has such a big diversity and its amazig, it's like travaling around the world and meeting new people without having to go on a plane. They love student input and consider students in the decisions that will impact the commmnity as a whole. Parent: Overall, I love this school! I love how they teach based on the ability of the child and not the grade only. I have one child who is above his grade level and one who is avg and they teach to both. I also love the smaller class sizes which helps them have a better learning experience. The only areas of improvement I would like to see is, more Spanish (once a week is not enough to learn much) and the pick up process is pretty terrible. Parent: Orem Elementary has teachers that really care about their students. They work hard but the teachers make it fun for the kids. The amount of homework really depends on the teacher. Some years we've had a lot, and other years have been more managable. My kids' teachers are very responsive to my questions and I know they are only a short email or phone call away.
