Senior: Indian Hill High School is an amazing school! There are endless opportunities here, such as a wide variety of clubs and sports. You can challenge yourself by taking AP classes, and there are so many to choose from! Most of the teachers are also very knowledgeable and hard workers, and our Principle and Vice Principle are honestly amazing. There are so many fun events throughout the year, like school dances, senior breakfasts, talent show, etc. One of my favorite parts of the school's schedule is Flex, which is a 90 minute time period for students to get some homework done or visit teachers once a week. It's so useful and I really appreciate that it's there! We are also very fortunate to have a very nice, clean-looking school, and we always know we are safe since the police station is less than a minute away. I'm going to miss going to school here! Senior: Being at Wyoming High School was an enjoyable experience. I feel as if I received a very good education from the school. At times classes felt a little too challenging, and at other times it felt very easy. The students and teachers at Wyoming overall are very kind people. There's always a select few that aren't. The school is known for academics but sports is very prominent amongst the school and neighborhood. Certain sports, example being basketball and football, get a lot more attention from the school and community in comparison to other sports. There's a lot of resources for students to use to create. Senior: Hello! My name is Savannah Khosla and I will be discussing my overall experience at William Mason High School. Without a doubt, I have been extremely privileged to attend a high school that supports high achievements in academics, leadership roles, and actively engaging in activities outside of school. I had been on the bowling team for 2 years which I absolutely loved. I wouldn’t have thought I would have enjoyed it as much as I did. I also ran track and the team was super supportive and encouraging. I was privileged to have been able to take harder, more advanced courses to expand my mind and to push myself for ever greater success. I am very fortunate I was able to be apart of the CCP program (college credit plus) which allowed me to gain college experience and credit while being comfortable at my high school. Middle School Student: I love the community of Sycamore Junior High and how it works. It is a place full of many wonders where you can just be yourself. There are so many supporters working at Sycamore Junior High from the staff to the teachers, everybody plays a huge role and helps out. We as a community are strong and do not slack off. The staff and teachers do an excellent job enforcing rules such as safety rules on the bus and at a school. They do this through videos and assemblies. Also, the administration is very caring and takes the opinions of students into consideration as well which is really thoughtful. To add on, Sycamore Junior High has an array of extracurriculars where you can find your passion. They have everything from choir to sports. Sports are a great way to make new friends at Sycamore and the school acknowledges the hard work of the sports teams. Parent: My son moved to Schilling for high school from a rigorous private school where he never felt understood despite his high IQ. Now, he is a different child. He loves school again and thrives under the exceptionally qualified and caring teachers and staff. They go above and beyond the call of duty to challenge my son in his areas of strength and to help him overcome his areas of weakness. At Schilling, he is completing college level courses easily and loving every minute of it! His ninth grade Biology book was the exact same one my older son used in college, so I know he will not only be prepared for college but will excel there. The school administration deals fairly and efficiently with any problems that arise in a way that teaches the kids to solve or avoid future issues. Senior: Honestly, Turpin is an amazing school. There may be some things that I dislike, but overall, it’s great. The academic rigor may seem intense, however there are often times 3 levels of each class. With the opportunity to move down a level, students are able to learn at a pace they’re comfortable with. The staff is mainly pretty good! They care about mental health and will reach out to their students if they’re concerned. They’re also very dedicated to making sure the students succeed. After the death of students in the past, the school has been mental health a priority, which is amazing. Therapy dogs come during lunch occasionally and there’s resources available for every student. The counselors do seem a little strained with only four of them compared to the amount of students though. Senior: I personally think that the humans here are amazing, everyone is just so welcoming and happy.
