Alum: Marshall Simonds Middle School was where I went from 1999-2002 in Burlington, Massachusetts. Knowing everyone in my class’s first and last name, was normal because everyone that went to school with me, also went to Church on Sundays, and Catholic Class on Thursday nights. I can vividly remember these years because of the events that took place in our country. The New Year’s Millennium was exciting, and I learned that you can’t always believe everything you hear. After that, my family got our first introduction to the internet. I became addicted to America On Line (AOL). In 2001, was the most scared I have ever been in my life, because of 9/11, when the towers fell in the State right next to where I was. I was in History Class; the teachers were turning on the TVs after the first plane hit. When we witnessed the second plane hit the second Tower, I felt fear for the first time in my life.
