Senior: I am a current Newman School Senior and I have loved being apart of this community! It really does feel like family. Everyone from the students to the teachers really do want to see us succeed. The school offers several clubs and creates such an easy space to start your own and add to the benefit of the community. Being located right in the city is another major bonus. We have easy access to several forms of transportation and when the weather is nice, often times students go and have lunch outside. Sometimes teachers take us outside for class too which is always nice. The school is also very flexible with students schedules who have high demand extra curricular activities outside of school. Which is nice for students who would otherwise only have the option of home school and don't necessarily want to do that. I have always found that the school does it's best to do everything to benefit the students and make sure we know that we can achieve anything we put our minds to.... Read 73 reviews

Parent: When our little elementary school closed at the end of our eldest son's Kindergarten year, we were heartbroken. We loved that the school community truly felt like family and welcomed any and all members from various backgrounds so openly. We were unsure where to send our children as a result of this closure until we toured Academy of Notre Dame. Not only did their professionalism and academic expectations remind us of our previous school, but upon hearing and seeing evidence that one of the cornerstones of the school is the celebration of diversity, we were convinced that we had found the perfect place for our children to learn and grow. These past 2 years have been nothing short of stressful, but one thing we did not have to worry about is whether or not our children were continuing to be educated and nurtured the same way they had that first part of the year at NDA when school was in person before Covid shut down the country. Parent: Best decision we could have made. Real family/community environment. Younger kids have older mentors. As a 7th grader, he is already learning about Physics & engineering. He says these classes are the best ever. Math, Science, Technology classes are so hands-on! Additionally, they learn the reason for math like Algebra. Most schools teach subjects as unrelated silos of info. At the Meridian, the subjects are INTEGRATED. The school customizes learning (e.g., very small advanced Spanish class or coding class). Languages are 1 of 3 pillars of learning, so learning a foreign language is paramount every year. No loud bells going off, teachers are great, & students are able to be totally involved in their learning. They don't need an external reward system like grades. They want to learn & do their best. Senior: Central has always and will continue to be a "home away from home" of sorts. It really is the most welcoming community I've ever been a part of, and the opportunities there are countless both academically, athletically, and socially. I think if there were one thing I would be looking to change, it would be providing more money towards the tech department. The ACADEMIC side of the classical sciences such as biology, chemistry, and physics have no shortage of funding, but CCHS does lack some skill development in more specific engineering and computer science fields. There are a lot of "CS Basics" classes and "Engineering 101" classes, but there aren't enough resources to develop an academic track for students looking to pursue STEM fields outside the classic sciences at CCHS. Alum: Marshall Simonds Middle School was where I went from 1999-2002 in Burlington, Massachusetts. Knowing everyone in my class’s first and last name, was normal because everyone that went to school with me, also went to Church on Sundays, and Catholic Class on Thursday nights. I can vividly remember these years because of the events that took place in our country. The New Year’s Millennium was exciting, and I learned that you can’t always believe everything you hear. After that, my family got our first introduction to the internet. I became addicted to America On Line (AOL). In 2001, was the most scared I have ever been in my life, because of 9/11, when the towers fell in the State right next to where I was. I was in History Class; the teachers were turning on the TVs after the first plane hit. When we witnessed the second plane hit the second Tower, I felt fear for the first time in my life. Sophomore: I am an upcoming junior, overall my experience is great at Medford High. Teachers are nice and presentable, currently low staff but what school isn't. Food not so great but it's american school anyway. What i would love to see changes at the Medford highschool is external and interall presenation. Senior: Lowell High School is a sprawling ever growing, ever evolving school. It may be old, but now it's rebuilding parts and adding new parts to the body from the students who asked for it, like the new gym building opening this fall the acefemics are great and entirely immersive, the diversity seems to grow even more everyday, as well as the teacher being respectful and impactful in the process. College readiness is well supplemented and has everyone ready for the college journey. Clubs and activity flers hang from wall to wall on every corridor and hallways you enter and the safety of the school are well monitored with cameras hidden amongst the entire campus as well as patrolling security guards. The administration and school culture are beyond excellent as the foods over there are constantly changing and adapting to more cultures.
