Senior: What I like about NRMPS Early College High School is the many opportunity this school offers. This school allows us to take high school and college classes, which helps contribute to our time management skills. Another thing I love about this school is how the teachers interact with every student. Since the class sizes are small, teachers are able to bond with each student. Since we are located on a college campus, we receive the "college experience", which prepares us for the university experience. The one thing I would change about this school is the accessibility to sports. We don't have sports on our campus, we have to travel to different schools to play. Overall, this school is amazing!... Alum: The reason why I decided to rate my overall experience with Souther Nash High School is because I had the best four years here. The community, the teachers, my peers, and everything about this school was great! I was involved deeply in this school and to this day, you could walk in the building and continue to feel the love. Our motto was "Firebirds All In", "Firebird Strong", and "Once a Firebird, Always a Firebird" to name a few and they are all true. You could be a student alumni and they will still reach out to you to make sure you're doing well. Senior: I absolutely love Northern! It’s very diverse! We have a number of clubs for all different areas of interest. For example, Greek club, music club, movie club, and so much more. We also have a number of interesting classes to take during our free periods to help with the stress that comes with being a high school scholar, such as, yoga, and coloring to relieve stress. The administration at Northern is absolutely wonderful and will help anyone with anything they need. I also find the administration leaders very easy to talk to. The teachers are great and will go out of their way to make sure every student is working to their fullest potential in the class. They also execute their lesson plans very well and make sure all topics are covered and that no question is left unanswered. There is a number of after school activities to be involved in. Alum: I was a student at Southern Nash Middle School from 2009-2011. This school and its honor classes really help set me up for Southern Nash High School because it taught me how to succeed and excel on my own. The material was also similar, which made it easier and not as stressful. The teachers were pretty nice, although the could've been better in that they were not the nicest especially being that it was middle school. One thing I know I have to comment on is the dress code. There has been a dress code of white, navy, or light blue top and khaki or black pants at Southern Nash Middle School since I can remember. No matter how much the students, including myself, groaned about it - it was a great idea. Middle School Student: Excellent school! I enjoy this school very much. The teachers a polite an strict. Sanitary school. Teachers are very respectful and go over things. Junior: As a junior at Rocky Mount High School, I have enjoyed the past three years there. As my junior year comes to a close and it's time to start applying for scholarships and looking at colleges, my teachers are very helpful and encouraging in this area. My chemistry teacher has offered not just me but my fellow classmates help with our upcoming Internal Assessment paper and labs, seeing as I'm in IB, and has spoken to us about the importance of colleges and scholarships. Senior: My school Nash Central High School is a school that have meaning to those that love to learn. I have a bittersweet outlook at the school from missing my peers since this my last year to wondering the hallways going to my next class. The teachers makes it a joy to be able to learn and help students do everything they need to get accomplished. The way I see my school I wished other students have a a school that makes them feel like they need to keep going, to get better, be you but keep your eyes on the prize and that’s learning more and more each single day, knowing once you leave Nash Central High School your confidence in saying I got this.
