Sophomore: So far as a Sophomore, Global has been pretty great! I've learned so many things while attending this school and I've learned to become a better person. Back in middle school, I was a big introvert who was scared of talking to people and was hostile towards others. At Global, I've met friends that I can rely and and teachers who I would definitely rely on when I'm in need of help. Even though I may only be a Sophomore, I already I know that my next 2 remaining years will be one of the best moments in my life.

Works Here: I love Shackelford Elementary! I have been a teacher here for 12 years and love my students and parents! The teachers work together to provide the best educational opportunities for each student. I work with all grade levels, and it is amazing to see my students each year flourish in their general education classroom with our special education support. They are treated inclusively in all activities and lessons, regardless of any disabilities. The growth each child makes throughout their time at Shackelford enables them to progress academically and socially so that they are ready to make the transition to Jr. High and succeed in an inclusive environment with their peers. Our school provides amazing support for my students and I am proud to be an educator at Shackelford Elementary.

Middle School Student: My experience so far at Howard Jr. High is been amazing. The teachers are very understanding and always want the best for you. Although every student isn't respectful there are still multiple students willing to be your friend! Plus there are multiple curricular activities that you can do. Additionally, Howard Jr. High does an excellent job at keeping everyone involve and meeting new people!

Senior: Red Oak opened my eyes to a lot of great opportunities. I came to Red Oak very shy and closed off. On my first day everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I felt at home the second I got there. As the years progressed, I joined clubs like National Honor Society, Student Council, and HOSA. I also decided to play sports, and even then the coaches and people on the team were very inviting. Red Oak has also offered me the opportunity to get a head start on my career with their CTE program. I got to experience the virtual hospital and learn the basics of what would be needed for my intended profession. I now have more confidence in my ability to preform task that will be needed in the future. The CTE program also allowed me to decide which career path I wanted to pursue as we dove deeper into careers. Red Oak has allowed me to become a more social person and helped me to improve academically.

Senior: Midlothian High School is part of the Midlothian School District. I have been a part of this district since the 4th grade, and for the most part my experience has been fairly good. There have been many changes put in to improve not only inclusion but as well as community involvement in all schools respectively. There have been a few incidents of disagreement between groups in the high school but that is to be expected in a growing town such as Midlothian. Overall, most of the teachers at Midlothian High School work hard to make sure the curriculum is understood, the counselors try to connect with students to help in future planning, and administration gives every opportunity possible to get feedback on how to further accommodate faculty and the student population.

Parent: My daughters are in 2nd and 4th just started WW this year! The 4th grade teachers are excellent. My daughter loves the staff. My 2nd grader is in the Dual Language program. She has learned spanish along with all the academics. Every day she comes home and tells me what she has learned. It's been exciting to see the excitement for learning both of my girls are showing!

They have been involved in the Robotics team, UIL, after school music programs and Student Council.

Also, the staff is welcoming! Great school!

Senior: Absolutely great high school! Teachers are engaged with students every day and genuinely want to improve their students academic skills. The athletic department brings the whole town together at each sports events. In the future, I would 100% feel comfortable with my own kids attending this high school because every faculty member made me and my peers feel comfortable in our own skin and we never had to hesitate to ask for help when we needed it.
