Senior: The teachers at Mark Morris are absolutely incredible. Each and every one of them cares deeply about their students, and they do everything they can to make sure that we all succeed. There are many courses available that offer career preparation skills and even college credit. For those who are struggling with obtaining the food or clothing they need, Mark Morris readily distributes those necessities to such students. Mark Morris High School allows students to thrive and be the best person possible. The only criticism I have is, it would be nice if the facilities could be renovated/updated a bit. Senior: Overall, I think the teachers are very engaging. There are lots of clubs and sports available fore students, and I personally have had a great experience in class and in clubs. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because of a few school wide policies that I disagree with, but I understand that most of them are because of State legislation and not individual school board decision making.... Senior: RAL, home of the lumberjacks, is one of the best schools in our district. And RA Long High School is ranked 110th in Washington. Teachers are friendly willing to help anyone who needs it. They are very understanding with students. Giving us consistent reminders of important things we have to do for a better teacher. Teachers pushing to be better than who you are right now and guide you all the way through. the only downside to the school is that they have bad food diversity. Senior: Kelso High School has been helpful in providing me with the necessary tools to thrive in my education. The Career Center especially provides I think, overall, that Kelso could improve on getting its teachers all on the same page as to where the seniors should be. By this, I mean that nobody should be expecting everyone to know what they want to do for the rest of their lives and instead be advocating the diverse choices and opportunities (especially for scholarships, internships, and job opportunities) open to them so that students can better find what they enjoy doing more naturally. And if some people do already know what they want to do as a career, then that's great! But it shouldn't become an expectation, as we are still trying to discover ourselves and where we want to go, and I feel like this is something multiple teachers, students, and family alike struggle with.... Middle School Student: Huntington provides a welcoming environment dor all students. The halls feature positive posters for students. The teachers provide a safe and fun learning environment. Alum: Toutle Lake is not just a school, it is a community. The entire town revolves around the school and the various activities involved with it. From sports, to clubs, to dances, to fundraisers, the entire town revolves around the school, just like many small towns. Very small class sizes and all grades K-12 being in the same place can be an odd experience for someone whom is not quite used to such atmosphere, but people will find that they will quickly fall into the effortless rhythm in no time. Over the years, I have formed relationships with the majority of the entire school and made many memories that I will carry with me as I expand my horizons.
