Alum: McKenzie High School is a very good school for someone who likes smaller classroom learning. McKenzie being small is an advantage educationally because the teachers all know your name, and are able to focus on your way of learning. All of the staff and faculty that I encountered in my four years at McKenzie High School were kind and understanding of any issues that I may have had. You would expect a small school to not have the funding to be able to hire experienced teachers but McKenzie high school makes the most out of the resources they have. Compared to other high schools in the are I am confident that McKenzie high school hires the most qualified and driven teachers. I have never felt that my teacher was under qualified for their position To sum everything up, McKenzie High School is for the students, and truly cares about the learning environment.... Junior: Clarksburg high school is a very small school where you are called by name you are not just a number. I play basketball and am the starting point guard who made the all district team this season and Freshman M V P my ninth grade year! I like my school all in all but we need more opportunities academically and should have had more focused which were not offered by one of our counselors who did not offer us everything as sophomores and kind of messed our class up when taking courses! Other than that we always have volunteer work to do and keep busy with our school activities so we were not really deprived but I am ready for a college experience that will take me places and with ambition show me the way I want to take my life and be successful at whatever door God opens in my life!... Senior: I come from a very small town, and I believe it made my experience more enjoyable. Because my school has less than 200 students, I was able to create personal relationships with my teachers, and they were genuinely invested in my academic experience. I also believe that it fostered better relationships between the students, because everybody knew everybody.
