Alum: Gettysburg High School is a great school! I loved my high school experience and after being in college and hearing what other schools are like I'm learning just how good of an education I received. They helped me when and worked with me when I was out of school sick for three months, and then again when I had problems with grades towards graduation. If you are an involved student you will have a great time. Also, make sure to dual enroll at HACC its a great opportunity and will save you a lot of money when college comes.

Chambersburg Area Career Magnet School
#2 Best Public High Schools in Adams County
- Chambersburg Area School District, PA
- Rating 4.65 out of 5 49 reviews
Sophomore: While attending Chambersburg Area Career Magnet School, I was able to develop one on one bonds with my teachers and administrators. The course selection consists mainly of honors classes and AP classes. Although the classes offered are of higher levels, there are very limited options for students to take. Only one art class is given and, when I was interested, only Spanish classes 1 and 2 were provided. After completing both classes I wanted to move on to Spanish 3, but it wasn’t offered. There’s a lot of club opportunities and I was elected into the Student School Board, providing me with leadership skills. CMS is more of a technology based and hands on high school. We used ipads for our education and everything we needed was always at our fingertips. Since it is a mildly selective magnet school, the learning environment consisted of students like me who cared about their education, making the school years easier and less distracting. My school highly stressed career opportunity.

Biglerville High School
#3 Best Public High Schools in Adams County
- Upper Adams School District, PA
- Rating 3.78 out of 5 127 reviews
Senior: Throughout the years in Biglerville High School, my experience has definitely changed. To be clear, it changed for the better. When I was a freshman, the upperclassman did a fair job to help all the ninth graders feel welcomed to the high school. Typically, you would hear that the seniors are bad and make fun of them, but that isn't the case at Biglerville High School. Now, as for the things that I like and liked about that school is how the staff treats their students. To be specific, they might often ask to bring up Powerschool and check your grades. I love that idea because there is someone that is looking for my excellence and well-being. Finally, something that I would like to see changed is the soccer team's field. Even though not everyone is part of the soccer team, those who also play will know what I mean. Other than that I really wouldn't want to change anything. I like that Biglerville High School is a small school because, for that reason, everyone knows each other.

New Oxford Senior High School
#4 Best Public High Schools in Adams County
- Conewago Valley School District, PA
- Rating 3.71 out of 5 288 reviews
Senior: My experience at New Oxford High School is going fairly well, I have few complaints. Recently a CTC building was added onto the school, I believe this is a great addition especially for those interested in STEM or going into the work force after graduation. Students are provided with many resources to make learning easier such as IPads and other technology devices. The teachers and staff at New Oxford are all very friendly, except for one of the secretaries. Some things that could be improved at New Oxford is schedules, especially for seniors with a modified schedules. Food is a huge issue at this school, by the fourth lunch usually there is not any food left. Majority of the meals taste awful and everything is incredibly expensive. Another issue I have is with Varsity Club, outside of school sports should also be recognized within the club.

Littlestown Senior High School
#5 Best Public High Schools in Adams County
- Littlestown Area School District, PA
- Rating 3.27 out of 5 102 reviews
Senior: Littlestown High school is a well rounded small town high school. They offer many classes including technical avenues for someone who is not interested in going the college pathway. They are updating all their facilities with currently adding a new sports stadium. Their sports teams a pretty competitive winning their divisions in football, boys basketball, boys tennis, field hockey, baseball and softball. Safety is not really an issue but there is not a lot of ethical diversity like in other local areas. Teachers could use some help and training in dealing with unruly students but they do good with the teaching aspects of the students. Overall it is a good school to attend.

Bermudian Springs High School

- Rating 3.48 out of 5 95 reviews
Senior: As a high school senior, I've had a great time at Bermudian Springs High School. They've provided lots of opportunities for me, and have given me leadership experience that has helped me grow. Their curriculum and strong group of teachers has prepared me for my college journey. There is always a teacher available to assist in problem solving and to offer a helping hand. They offer great extra curricular and academic programs such as, the annual musical, Interact club, Drama class, computer design classes, National Honors society, a variety of clubs, and Student Council. Bermudian Springs also offers a variety of sports to keep students busy throughout the year. However, the school would not be where it is today without the great students who attend Bermudian Springs High School. I am proud to be a Bermudian Springs High School student.

Senior: The small school atmosphere allowed for a lot of connection between teachers and peers. It created a unique experience with the ability to be involved with many different school activities. If I was able to change something, I would add more AP classes and diverse clubs to our school!
