Senior: My education at Haas Hall has been integral to my development into a college-ready young woman; I will value forever the connections I have made and counsel I have received from peers and teachers throughout my high school years. The school's curriculum is challenging, though scarcely overwhelming. I do, however, feel that my experience was somewhat hindered by the relative inconsistency of its offering of AP courses, particularly those in the realm of the arts and humanities. I had, for example, planned to take French III and AP French Language and Culture in my sophomore year, having completed French I and II the year prior. The courses were, however, removed from the school's master schedule until my senior year, forcing me to take a hiatus from my foreign languages education, during which my skills in French languished. Junior: What I like the most about Pulaski Academy is the level of education that you receive during a person's time here. The curriculum is high level, as well as the classes. I also like the variety of classes that one can take. For example, there are a large number of art classes at the school, but if you are not into that, there are plenty of other classes such as varieties of math, computer science, and science. The community at Pulaski Academy is also great too, as the school's goal is to act as one big family. However, there are some downsides to going to this school. To start, some social aspects can be hard when you are with other people not from your school, as Pulaski Academy has a reputation of being a rich school for primarily white students, which does not sit well in today's society. Overall, students that attend here tend to be disrespected due to the school they go to. Overall though, the school provides a great education system that will help me succeed further in my life.... Parent: Love this school and all it stands for. The only reason I chose not to give it 5 stars is because there is always room to improve. Academics are spot on and your child will get out of it what he puts into it. So much diversity which is great going to school with other religions, ethnicity, and cultures. Many clubs and organizations for anyone to choose something that suits their interests. There is no lack of boredom at Subi. The brotherhood is like no other. I would send my son(s) there again. My husband is a graduate, and one son and now our youngest is attending. We can't say enough about this school and the environment it brings to all those who come here. Onward Trojans!... Senior: I started the school in 7th grade, and have since furthered my experience and is halfway through my senior year. Overall, the school is great for specific people that enjoy academic success and hard work. The workload is intense but the teacher support and familiarity is a rarity at other schools. Smaller class sizes make it harder to maintain friends and specific cliques are hard to navigate. Pro tip, find semi-regular people. I have found genuine friends at this school, and I truly do love it through all the frustrations and anger it has given me. I am excited to be over it, but academically I do feel prepared for college. I know how to write an essay and answer test questions and study well, which is crucial for success when you live independently in college. Again, this school is for a niche group of people, but if one enjoys a steady workload and a solid community all focused on succeeding, it can boost ones morale and teach them team-working and adult skills.... Junior: Haas Hall Academy was even better than I expected it to be! It's located in historic Downtown Rogers and is the perfect place to prepare for college. The classes are both challenging and fun, and the entire Haas community is amazing. I have gone there for nearly four years and I'm still just as in love with the campus, the teachers, and the education as I was when I first started. It is such a picturesque school with so much character and history. The teachers are all so hardworking and focused on helping the scholars receive an excellent education. Senior: I definitely think that Bentonville High School is an amazing school. There are so many incredible opportunities for students, including participation in the Ignite program, Capstone Diploma program, International Baccalaureate, and dual enrollment with North West Arkansas Community College. My only complaint is that as a sophomore-year transfer, I was not given information on these opportunities and had no idea what they were until it was too late to participate. This is a minor setback compared to the ample opportunities I did receive. There is a class for everyone here, including agriculture classes, computer science classes, and tons of art classes. The food is amazing, with choices between nachos, sandwiches, pizza, chicken nuggets, and a grab-and-go cooler with various drinks and snacks! Did I mention there is an ice cream freezer? Senior: Choosing New Tech as my high school was the best decision I've ever made as it has taught me lessons not only related to class but about life as well. Lessons that will take me farther beyond any math or English class could. New Tech taught me how to pursue life beyond high school. Not only was it highly advanced but highly abundant in the amount of opportunities given to those just attending. I've earned several certifications and attended college classes during my final highschool years at a discounted price. Nothing else I've mentioned could top the "teachers" or facilitators as we call them as we the students lead our work and are only guided by our facilitators. Alum: I went to Little Rock Christian Academy for grades 6-12 and I am so thankful. I graduated in 2017 and I am now about to be a senior Christian Studies major in college. Because of the biblical foundation at LRCA, I was prepared to dive even deeper as I went on to pursue a career in ministry and study the Bible, because I could not imagine studying anything else! I am so thankful for my education from LRCA. They prepared me for all aspects of college, not just my major. Freshman: All of the people I've met at any of the Haas campuses have been extremely kind and welcoming. This will be my second year attending Haas Hall and I'm looking forward to joining a few of the many clubs this school has to offer, which include but are not limited to Quiz Bowl, Beta Club, Film Club, Community Service Club, a bowling team, and a club created to help young writers nurture their skills and improve. We have a mental health checkup every Wednesday in which we are asked whether or not we'd wish to schedule an appointment with our guidance counselor and have a very college focused environment, where we are notified of chances for scholarships and given opportunities to earn community service hours. The only thing I would think to change about this school is the stress we are put under to do well while being taught advanced curriculum. Senior: My experience with Central High School has been wonderful. I have met so many different people due to the diversity at Central and I have gotten the opportunity to make lots of great friends and connections at this school. Central has a great variety of clubs that cater to all different types of people and hosts many events that offer volunteer hours for students. Not only are clubs available but the school also offers after-school tutoring and assistance for students in need of assistance. Central High School puts together a Black History Month performance every year which successfully educates students on African American traditions and lifestyle. Although Central is an amazing school, I would change the fact that the building is not the cleanest it can be. Central is an old school and is in need of more maintenance with ceilings, floors, and walls. It is the only high school in Arkansas to offer culinary. The recording studio is state of the art. With approximately 500 students, teachers really get to know their students. The teachers genuinely care about students. AAA is a very diverse school where students can openly be their true selves. AAA has a great academic program too. Although the school is an arts school,emphasis is placed on academics preparing students for college. I attended AAA starting in the 6th grade and graduated in 2019. Alum: I loved my high school experience at Greenwood. The atmosphere of pep rallies and games was something I could never forget. I joined almost every club and cheered throughout my four years there. Being involved is what made me who I am. It brought out a whole other version of myself that I and everyone around me grew to love. I became more outgoing, gained leadership, and started to be more open. Senior: Shiloh is a really good school to be at! I struggled for a long time to find a school that fit me. When I made the decision to go to Shiloh I was pretty nervous because I was new and most the kids have known each other for a while. But the first day I got there I made a friend within 10 minutes. The teachers at Shiloh really care about how their students are doing and want to see us succeed. Most of the teachers are very interactive with students and the security officers are also very nice and can pick up a conversation with just about anyone. There are two things I am a little disappointed about with Shiloh. First, some of the classes that I am taking are complete blow-offs. Next is diversity. It has gotten a bit better as I have been at Shiloh but it still seems like it could improve. Senior: I like the atmosphere at the school. The teachers, the classes, and the students at the school. I played volleyball at Conway High School, and the athletics program is also something I have loved about my school. Attending football, basketball, and baseball games has been a highlight of my time at Conway. Our baseball team and boys; soccer team won the state championship in 2022, and this year our girls' basketball team won, as well. Experiencing this was a once-in-a-lifetime chance and the administration at Conway fully embraced these opportunities. I have taken 7 Advanced Placement classes over my three years in high school, and all 7 of my teachers were exceptional. They prepare their students for the homework and test very well as well as for the AP tests. I have enjoyed the last 3 years at Conway High School immensely, and high school will probably be one of the highlights of my life because of my incredible experience at Conway High School.... Alum: While Providence is a fantastic classical, Christian school, Providence is most unique due to the University Model (R). PCCA students are on campus 2 or 3 days a week and at home the other days. However, they are NOT staring at a computer watching lessons all day. Their at-home assignments are an integral part of the learning process. I love how the students get to spend so much more time with their families than traditional 5 day students, but they also have certified teachers who are experts in their fields. PCCA parents don't have to be educators; they don't have to prepare assignments or create curriculum. They just have to be actively involved in their students' education. We have a family environment while setting students up for success in college or whatever their future plans may be! Niche User: Rogers High School was somewhat a great school. Their were activities to do and a lot of variation on what club or sport to participate. However I would say from experience that the orchestra in this school is somewhat ignored. You would rarely hear the support from them, which is kinda sad. There is a lot of diversity and most of the time everyone gets treated the same. Their is a lot of opportunity's in this school but sometimes the counseling center isn't much help.
