Alum: My years at Boise High were interesting to say the least. Sophomore year it was still considered peak covid and we had hyrbid schedules until the 4th quarter. Junior year was everyone together and finally no masks at 4th quarter. SENIOR YEAR WAS NORMAL which I was ecstatic about. The teachers were great and we all did the best we could with what we had. In my three years I have felt welcomed by every teacher and got along with everyone. Gossip spread fast given it’s highschool but it never really affected people too much. The dances were very fun and no one had a student section like ours despite us not being the greatest at sports. Regardless of that the school spirit was INSANE and it was just amazing to be around. One thing I would say I would like to see change is there should be more students involved in student council and not just have members of stuco win and do everything all the time. Junior: I am currently a junior at MMACHS and attending this school has been one of the best decisions I have ever made! The staff and students are amazing people, and to me, they feel like my second family. Everything at MMACHS is amazing, whether it be the academics or the extracurricular activities. Senior: Timberline has given me a great high school experience. I love the programs they have to offer. I love the students here - I love the teachers - I love the size - it's all perfect! Senior: I enjoyed participating with Thomas Jefferson Charter School from Kindergarten through my senior year. I particularly enjoyed the staff's adaptability for each student by providing more difficult and particularly useful skills to use not only for school but for life. This school pushed me to accomplish things I never thought would be possible. I have learned valuable skills and haven't ever felt lost during my transition from High School to college. Alum: I love the diversity of classes you could take and how caring and exceptionally brilliant most teachers were. They were teachers who were still in school for masters/PhD and still teaching—I think that made them a better educator. Unfortunately, Capital is long overdue a renovation and expansion. Senior: I like the staff, and what the school values. The staff are always kinds, caring to students, and helpful. The teachers are amazing at what they do. The school values the sciences and the arts, has numerous sports and Cross fit programs, and helps connect students with Duel Credit Opportunities. Senior: I moved to EHS my Freshman year. I was a very timid Freshman and still remember the uneasy feeling I had before I started my first day of Freshman year. From the first day of my Freshman year to now my teachers at Eagle High have been very welcoming and supportive. Senior: Cole Valley has been an incredible experience for me. The teachers and staff genuinely care about me and provide so much support. Senior: Rocky Mountain has been a really great school. This school has great selections of classes with teachers that are qualified and will work with you to learn. Their choices of clubs and sports is also incredible. You can choose from many sports and if it is not an official school sport, then It may be a club. The safety and security is also very high. Every door requires a key card and they are amazing at quickly making the building safe for thing like a lock down. The only problems I have with the school are that doesn’t pull for school spirit very well. The only sports that are advertised for spectators is football and basketball. No other sport get students coming to cheer and encourage. Also, some styles they try to push on teacher. They have been trying to stop the math teachers from actually teaching. The best part of my high school experience here has been being able to talk with the teachers and receive help, recommendations, and resources. Although the majority of my high school career has been good, there have have been instances when it hasn’t been good in the slightest. My school has a bullying problem, despite the problem being right in front of them, they often turn a blind eye to those inflicting and receiving the bullying. Senior: I believe Centennial High School provides a great education. With most teachers being encouraging and always willing to help, all the while making learning interesting and enjoyable. Through sports, dances, and more, I have met so many new people I hope to keep lasting relationships with. Through school have met friends and even my girlfriend who I will give anything to keep. Alum: I absolutely loved my experience attending Idaho Fine Arts Academy! I attended my senior year of high school and from the first day both students and teachers helped me to feel completely included and welcomed. I felt the teachers truly cared about me and helping me to pursue my dreams. I was in the dance majors program and was able to achieve my childhood dream of choreographing and performing a dance solo at the end of the school year. Senior: I came to Nampa Christian Schools in 7th grade and got involved in volleyball, which was new to me and met amazing friends that accepted me even when they didn't know who I was. I would recommend if you go there to get involved either with choir, sports, or theatre to get to know the people in your class and to get connected. It is hard to break into the groups that have been together for a long time, but if you jump in, they will warm up to you and you will find amazing friends, loving teachers, and exciting sporting events. I have enjoyed my time at Nampa Christian, but I think it has something to do with God's blessing, too. Junior: Skyview high school has been a perfect high school experience for me. From the extra curricular activities I participate in (track and field and soccer) to our band, the atmosphere is amazing! Working with the college and career center has been a highlight. Senior: I began attending GFA in the eighth grade after having been homeschooled my entire life. Junior: Honestly the worst part is school events. Yeah, they are creative and fun but sometimes the themes aren't well chosen. The advertising aspect of these events relies mostly on social media, however, the posters around school are gorgeous. My favorite part at Ridgevue is the wide selection of classes.
