Sophomore: MPrep was a great school for me. Whenever I wanted to explore an interest (robotics, coding, crochet, sustainability, etc) there was always a teacher there to help grow it. The community was an integral part of the school. Weekly all school events were blocked into our schedule for us to participate in different activities (like lantern making or habit taking) while leaning about different cultures or work on self improvement. The food was decent overall although the menu was a little repetitive (I'd say we had tacos 80% of the Tuesdays). If you are a tea drinker there is a great station to make your own tea any time of day. Marianapolis has great options for athletics with opportunities both for those who wish to pursue a sport in college or would prefer to practice recreationally. Parent: 2023-2024 will be my son’s third year at PSA. I was apprehensive at first, as he is my only son, and arrived there in the middle of the pandemic, at the age of 15! But in a short time, I was relieved to see how PSA offers a very caring, supportive and family like environment. All the staff were always easily contacted and made a big difference assisting both, students and parents in the transition/adjustments to school in a different country. Now, as my son is going for his third and last year in PSA, I’m full of gratitude for all the experiences, friendships for life and skills that PSA could provide for him. Senior: Overall this school is a great opportunity for those that want to get a jump start on their college education. You can attend the connecting college for free while still enrolled in highschool to save time and money with future college credits. The only reason I would not give this school five stars is that there are good handful of students that transfer here who are blatantly disrespectful to students and staff, and when bullying is brought up to the administration nothing much is done about it. I would not say it is a huge issue within the school, and it should not turn anyone away from taking advantage of the college opportunity, however it is something you should be aware of before attending. Senior: I transferred here after my sophomore year and I genuinely think it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I’ve always wanted to do theatre professionally, so being able to immerse myself in the arts has been so beneficial. I love that we can take classes outside of our major. My biggest issue is how problems are handled. My friends and I have been the target of harassment and cyberbullying, and not much has been done about it, as far as I can tell. Alum: I graduated from Windham High School in 2018. This school gave me the opportunity to take a variety of early college experience and AP classes and come into college with 26 credits, something much harder to do at High Schools like E.O. Smith. The culture of the school is very involved and big on athletics. The Parent community in Windham is outstanding and extremely supportive. They work very closely with teachers to make sure that no Windham kids fall between the cracks and stay on a positive course. Junior: I’ve been super involved in my high school since the beginning of freshman year. My best memories always being the theater and music programs the school has. The teachers that involve themselves are so dedicated and passionate about helping students. Overall, my high school experiences has been pretty good in my opinion, but we have a very low teacher retention rate. Parent: I have noticed a big improvement in Tourtellotte Memorial High School since five years ago when my older daughter was attending. There are more class options, including the option to earn college credit while in high school. The biggest change that I have noticed is the community within the school.
