Senior: I have absolutely loved my experience so far at Utah Arts Academy. Every club and team I have tried out for have welcomed me so much. Every time I see one of the admin they always say hi and talk to me. It’s great to see all the diversity at this school and everyone is always welcome! The teachers are always pushing me to be my best and work hard. On the Utah Arts Academy Instagram page they post every team/clubs event and never forget one! They support every group and attend every event they can. One thing I would like to see changed is making our school bigger. Right now it’s pretty small because it is a charter school, but if there were more students there would be a bigger pool of talent and diversity. Senior: The school has massive amounts of pride and school spirit. This has enabled superior participation in school projects, charity programs, academics, and athletic events. The best part has been community involvement and faculty, while the worst has been overtly partisan faculty members and a lack of diversity outreach for queer students and representation. Senior: I loved snow canyon! It was amazing! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I am a very musical person. And during covid when it came down to either having a sports game or a musical concert those nights, they always chose the sports games. The musical concerts were always canceled or rescheduled and then canceled again. We got just about no time to show our families and friends our accomplishments. It felt pretty unfair.... Senior: Hurricane High school feels like a family. Everyone looks out for everyone else. When someone is struggling, many people are there to assist and make them feel welcome. We have many different fun school related activities. Assemblies, football games, bbqs, dances, and movie nights are included. This gives the students more school spirit and love for Hurricane High School. This makes thier high school experince feel more fun and uplifting. Also, student body and exect try and make the experince great for everyone. Thus, making it feel more powerful and together. It's great! Hurricane also has many clubs and sports to choose from. Next year, we will finally get a boys volleyball team. We have rudby, football, soccer, chess, art, debate, theater, dance, ballroom, cheer, band, orchastra, and many more choices. FFA, FBLA, HOSA, robotics and other organizations include students here. Anyone can find their place at Hurricane High school. We have clubs and organizations for everyone. Its great...
