Parkers Chapel High School

Junior: Parkers Chapel, a place of opportunity and a truly great community. I have been at Parkers Chapel since Pre-School and it is the greatest community I have ever experienced. Being a small school the students and staff are closer together and the community has a strong bond that you cannot find in another school. The staff itself will go out of their way to ensure your success, the students will have a closer bond with you from being a smaller school and strive to all come together to accomplish something. The parents are strongly connected with the school by participating in after school events and donating to an activity. Parkers Chapel is a very close bonded school which everyone comes together as a community and I strongly recommend Parkers Chapel to any family looking for their child's new school.

Senior: El Dorado High has a great new building. State of the art facility. Teachers and Guidance staff are supportive and helpful. Teach for America teachers were some of my favorites, because they were recent college graduates and we're enthusiastic about what they were doing. We have an absolutely amazing opportunity in our town with the El Dorado Promise Scholarship. It's available to all graduates of the El Dorado School High School with at least the last four years in El Dorado. Can't think of a better win win situation!

Senior: I think this is a great school
For anyone in the area. There is plenty of challenge to turn young people into adults, and also inspiring to pursue further education. Smackover is also deeply invested in STEM which is the future of jobs.

Junction City High School

Alum: Growing up within the Junction City.. "District" as I should to call it, there's much to learn that I feel as if you couldn't obtain else where. Junction City, AR is just a tiny blip on the map. about a 1sq mile on the AR/LA border. More or less about 600 people (city limits) and 200 attend High School here. As much as I despise it sometimes, living in such a tight knit environment comes with its pros. Everyone knows everyone, which atleast here for me it wasn't a terrible thing. I didn't know about.. 60% of these people personally but it made for easy small talk or comfort from a familiar face. Although, the "I know your mom/pops/granddad's goldfish can get old very quickly from the teachers. Speaking of, with smaller more familiar classes it was easier for them to engage and connect with us personally. This went with the Administrative Staff as well. Our tiny little school gave what it had for us, to beat the "small school small opportunity" the best they could. Great Experience.
