Alum: It was a most favorable experience! I had moved from New York City to the woods in the Poconos in PA. It was quite a change for me because of the environment. However, it was nice to have such a welcoming school and many options for students. The school spirit was alive. The teachers made class interesting. The first week I was helped to make sure I knew location of my classes and assured I can ask for help at any time. The classes were very interactive, on top of all the options of electives that I was able to choose from. I graduated successful with many new skills that I did not know I was capable of before. I am happy to say I was a graduate from Stroudsburg High School.

Senior: The best thing I liked about my school is how much they listen to the students. The teachers and staff are always looking for feedback from the students on how to improve our learning experience and experience in high school altogether! Some of the changes that I have seen is that we now have homeroom representatives, that meet up on occasion to discuss some of the things that the students of the school want to see happen, for example we now have a coffee shop ran by the career skill students! Some of the classrooms were modernized with couches and whit board tables to make the classroom setting more comfortable for students.

Junior: Pocono Mountain East High School has allowed for me to grow not only academically, but also as a person. With the many clubs and activities, sports, and academic opportunities there is a place for everything. One thing I would like to see change is how much school spirit there is. Pocono Mountain East has a caring staff and faculty, and many opportunities that the student body should be proud of! Overall my experience at Pocono Mountain East has been very rewarding.

Alum: I loved the family oriented atmosphere and the small size of the school. Everybody knows if something is wrong and the teachers are always willing to help and are willing to take time out of their day to help you with your school work. While it is small, there are not as many classes as you would be able to take in a bigger public school, but the classes you do take here are a much higher level and prepare you better for college. My english teacher saved me with Essay bootcamp. Another benefit of a small school is the ability to go on field trips and college tours. We take biannual trips to Spain and this year we even went to London. A lot of great things come with a smaller sized class. Less is more!

Senior: This is a simple yet outstanding school in a simple area. I’m astonished at the fact even in an area like the Quad Cities, in the rural state of Iowa, has so many possibilities for students to do in any category they want to pursue in. I would say almost everyone feels safe in school, because we have been taught many ways to defend ourselves from any possible intrusion. They care about having neat classrooms, caring teachers, and professional workplaces for students to study in. The one thing that I could advise in is to make the school lunches and breakfasts better, because what is better than eating great food anytime and anywhere!

Alum: Pocono Mountain West High School was a very diverse school, which I loved. They had many clubs and sports to fulfill your interests. Their academics were challenging if placed in the correct level class. Most teachers cared about your success and prepared you for college. Most counselors were very helpful regarding college applications and other problems you had. Overall, my experience with Pocono Mountain West High School was good!

Senior: I have enjoyed my time at East Stroudsburg Senior High School North. By applying myself, I believe I have made the most of my education here. The teachers and staff truly want students to succeed and offer assistance whenever needed. Higher level classes, especially AP courses, truly demand dedication, persistence, and resilience. I have been academically challenged and successful throughout my high school career while participating in the various activities North offers. The music program is excellent and I enjoy being apart of the spring musical. I hope to see the school spirit continue to grow within this high school.

Senior: I love villa! It has always challenged me to be better version of myself. The homework amount is a lot but I have found that I am more than ready for college. The music department is awesome, I have had to work really hard and show my qualifications by learning to be organized and practicing violin a lot but I am now President of Orchestra and Tri-M International music honors society and concert master. The teachers here really believe in their students that we can be amazing.
