Webb City High School
#1 Best Public High Schools in Jasper County
- Webb City R-VII School District, MO
- Rating 3.91 out of 5 178 reviews
Senior: Webb City High School has outstanding standards in secondary education. While the academics are far above the average, I would say that the priorities among the extracurricular activities are very skewed. Sports, especially football, are idolized among our district due to the reputation of their performance. As a result, the fine arts departments are heavily underfunded and disrespected. The administration and faculty attempt to make it seem as though the district is generous towards these departments when in reality there is an obvious bias at play. Along with these problems, the student body is also narrow-minded and discriminatory toward certain students. Bullying isn't necessarily a problem, but there is a lack of inclusion and respect towards students who are different or against their personal values. If you want a conservative, Christian school that isn't open-minded toward other people, then this is the school for you.

McAuley Catholic High School
#2 Best Private High Schools in Jasper County
- Private School
- Joplin, MO
- Rating 4.21 out of 5 24 reviews
Senior: I love the Catholic Community in this school. Everyone knows each other and no one is a stranger to another person in this school. We take pride in everything that we do, whether it’s an athletic event, or something as simple as wearing a Mcauley shirt out in public. As a senior at Mcauley this year, I couldn’t even imagine going to school anywhere else, the friends that I’ve made are the friends that I went to preschool with. Often times that is just simply unheard of, but not at Mcauley. The effort that the teachers and other faculty members put in to the students is also so incredible and inspiring. These teachers want nothing but success for every student at Mcauley, and they won’t stop until we walk across that stage to receive our diplomas. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to be involved in this school system for my entire life, and I can’t wait to see the great things that will come in the future.

- Rating 3.78 out of 5 205 reviews
Senior: I have attended Carl Junction school since the fourth grade. To say I have never had a problem with them would be an understatement. I could not have one complaint. I also felt safe at school. I've always felt important. I never felt that someone wasn't there for me. The teachers, staff, and administration are truly there for you every step of the way. If I ever had a problem someone was always there to help. I never had a problem or even saw a problem that wasn't taken care of with bullying. I am very proud to say that I will graduate from Carl Junction High School and even consider sending my future kids here.

Carthage High School

- Rating 3.83 out of 5 111 reviews
Senior: Carthage High School truly prepared me to go to college. They offer a variety of dual credit classes that assisted me in getting a head start in my college career. They offer many programs to help you find your career path. I participated in the Teach and Train Program and decided I want to become an elementary school teacher. I know there are medical and criminal classes to take as well! My counselors helped me in every way to ensure I was ready for college. I had the best experience possible playing softball here as well.

Joplin High School
- Joplin Schools School District, MO
- Rating 3.56 out of 5 284 reviews
Senior: I love the atmosphere at my school, as the building is very open built to have a diverse learning environment. There are many windows throughout which make it a more interesting place to learn, as well as feel connected with the outside world while in class. Most of my teachers throughout my schooling experience at the high school were very kind, understanding people. They would answer questions whenever I asked, and make sure that I understood what I was doing. There were some times when teachers wouldn't quite meet this standard, most of the time they were doubling as coaches and didn't have time to focus on everything at once. Once you get into higher classes like AP and Dual Credit this is not a problem!

Sarcoxie High School
- Sarcoxie R-II School District, MO
- Rating 3.79 out of 5 14 reviews
Sophomore: I believe that Sarcoxie High school is one of the best schools for academics around. We have a lot of really good programs that have been put in place lately, such as the supper program which feeds kids after school that may not get another meal at home. Another thing is the new football, softball, and baseball fields.
