Eisenhower High School
Alum: Eisenhower High School is a great demonstration of the decline of standards across the United States, but particularly in states such as Oklahoma that neglect education. The school has its upsides, such as its attention to STEM and other projects. However, the higher-ups neglect teachers, and post-pandemic it felt like many of the teachers had given up or cared less. In addition, the shortage of teachers created a vacuum in which many of the people that found their way into the halls of LPS were certainly not qualified to be there. In our town, Eisenhower had the reputation of being the academics/AP school, which generated the highest performing students on average. However, the AP program at LPS is dying. The best teacher at the school lost her AP classes due to issues involving the interests of the higher-ups clashing with the interests of the actual educators. Eisenhower as a whole, however, did allow for many vocational and concurrent enrollment opportunities that set me ahead. OOS... Read 206 reviews
