Alum: Miami Dade County Public Schools overall is great. Depending on the school you decide to attend, academically and everything else is different for every school and area. Personally, the high school I attended, Doral Academy, is very different from most schools. In my opinion, they have excellent academics and because it is a preparatory school, graduating from here made me confident because I knew I was extremely prepared for college. Doral Academy is filled with amazing teachers and students and because we are in Miami it is super diverse throughout the staff and students. As for clubs and activities, Doral Academy is a fun experience with many club options and school activities that are always happening throughout the year. Sports are big in this school and if you play a sport you should definitely consider joining a team! The school itself is always nice and clean and continuing to grow with friendly security and faculty.

Sophomore: I have been going to Broward County Public Schools for a couple of years now and I have found them to be an awesome district with teachers that care about the education the students receive. I have been able to find my interest almost immediately upon attending my high school. I am active in the robotics program and have had so much fun participating there. The school district also offers activities outside of school that anyone can participate in like most of our sporting events. On top of everything, the BCPS is always up to date on the latest news and keeps all of their students and parents informed of any situations that it is facing. Overall great school district!
