Senior: I really enjoy how the Yadkin County School systems rally together to support their students when they're in need. Over the last 6 years, all the schools in Yadkin County came together to support a foundation called "Race more for Macemore", which is a 5k run/walk in the middle of downtown Yadkinville; it was started when 19 year old Austin Macemore was battling cancer. He unfortunately lost his battle, but the organization continues on every year and donates it's earnings to students or community members battling serious health conditions. Everyone puts their school rivalries aside and come together to support their classmates for this event, and it's beautiful to see what humans can do when they work together for cause like this one.
