The Speyer Legacy School
Parent: This is our third year at Speyer. The environment is academically challenging, but nurturing. Our sons have very different strengths and interests, yet Speyer is a good fit for both. We hear this a lot from other parents with multiple kids at Speyer - and this is what makes the school very special. The kids are smart and nice, teachers knowledgeable and warm - my sons' favorite things are their friends and teachers! It is such a blessing when kids are excited to go to school in the morning and ask to be back at the end of school holidays. Speyer is known for its strong chess, math and debate programs, but a special shout out goes to their Humanities curriculum - kids are taught to think, consider multiple points of view, empathize, and express their views orally and in writing with supporting arguments - starting from an early age. The new Head of Lower School has also been doing an amazing job in the midst of the pandemic - balancing the needs of in-person and remote students.
