Chicago Grammar School
Parent: Both of our little boys go to CGS, and I cannot say enough good things about our school. CGS curriculum is rich and its graduates go into selective schools, but CGS is more than academics. They focus on the whole child including social emotional. School is competitive; kids participate in math, Latin, art competitions yearly and win awards. The teachers, with no exception, are wonderful and extremely caring. Their interactions with the kids are empowering and trust building. They build on each child's confidence, focus on their strengths, and work in partnership with parents on their opportunities. There is art and PE every day, it's amazing what little hands can produce not to mention the strength they get in fine and gross motor skills with daily focus in these subjects. CGS has been offering in person instruction as well as remote learning if parents choose so with great safety and health protocols in place. If you are looking for a great school, I would recommend looking into CGS.
