Parent: I am lucky to have seen Prep from beginning at JK to a graduating senior and practically every grade between. I have had 4 children attend Prep, 2 of which are still in lower school. I feel so thankful that my children have been able to attend such an amazing school. They have been involved in sports, ceramics, theatre, strings, clubs, and so much more. There are so many options for kids at Prep it’s incredible. Almost every sport you can imagine, tons of creative arts, leadership groups, clubs, outreach activities and many more. Beginning in Kindergarten they start Strings and Spanish Class in addition to PE, art and music each week. My children have always felt included and appreciated, and most importantly, safe. I was worried about my kids returning to school in August in the midst of the pandemic. Middle School Student: I think that Ashley Hall is a wonderful school even though I am in seventh grade it has already given me amazing social skills and prepares you for the next big thing every year. The school has some amazing teachers who engage with their students and the school has some amazing girls in the school. I have been at this school since Second grade and I have definitely made some life long friends. there are some ups and downs with girls at the school but most of the girls are very respectful to their teachers and their peers. even though we all seem like snobs not all of us come from backgrounds were our parents have lots of money. we all work very hard to make sure that the other girls in our grade feel seen and heard. the school also offers some great art electives, the four art electives are Theater, Art, Orchestra, and choir. Sophomore: Love it here at Wilson Hall! As a military kid, I’ve been to a number of different schools and this one is by far my favorite. The school maintains a family-like relationship between students, teachers, and administrators while also giving students independence and responsibility when it comes to participation in sports and clubs. Senior: I love Ben Lippen! I've attended the school for the last 13 years. To be honest, my favorite parts are the science department and the international program. The science teachers are fantastic at their jobs, and genuinely care about their students. The international program has exposed me to so many cultures that I would never get the chance to experience otherwise! The international students ask questions that I would never think of, and I learn so much from them about their countries and about my own in the contrast. However, the international program is also my least favorite part of the school. The domestic students find it difficult to convince the international students to participate in many domestic student events, so at the school, there ends up being two groups: the Americans and the boarding students. Alum: I loved my 6 years at CTC! The teachers are so supportive and creative, we were never bored in class. Some of them were very liberal, especially in middle school, but most of them are still non-discriminative of more conservative people like myself. CTC is a community of learners, everybody knows everybody, and everyone is welcome. CTC will challenge you, inspire you, and force you to grow. It is a second home and you will miss it after you leave. I will say that there is a large gap between CTCers and Sterling kids. They’re only together at lunch, recess, and related arts, but I honestly don’t understand why the two schools are combined.
