Parent: The Meadows School is THE private high school for educating your bright and ambitious learner. The work is engaging and challenging, and the teachers are top-notch. Their methods of helping students "level up" are incredible (my son said he didn't realize what he is actually capable of until he became a student here!) Students focus and work during class, then relax and laugh with their peers during enrichment, lunch, and advisory. Meadows learners are friendly, diverse, and inclusive. Don't underestimate the value of placing your child with other smart people -- we rise according to the company we keep. Administration is highly effective in balancing respect for tradition and the historical successes of the school -- and evolving to incorporate progressive instructional tools and strategies. If you've ever had a teacher or coach push you lovingly, but firmly, to successes you hadn't previously imagined – and you want that same experience for your child – then choose TMS.

Parent: I'm a parent who values academics (more than just college prep), teaching of values and the sense of community. When I drop my children off, I feel like I'm leaving them with family. With all the recent CCSD budget cuts, charter and magnet schools no longer look attractive (programs being cut). Another huge factor is the school drug tests 4-5 times a year (random) both high school students and teachers. I love this! With all the drug problems in other private schools, this helps me keep my children responsible and aware of the dangers of drug use. Wish more schools were like this. We are not Jewish and love the values being taught, was impressed with how so many non Jewish families feel the same way I do.

Alum: I attended LMCA from 7th grade all the way until graduation. It is a very tight nit community yet this community is also very accepting and inviting of newcomers. I can't think of a single teacher at the school that does not genuinely care immensely about the lives and success of the students. Some of the current administration is lacking in terms of doing things in the best interest of the students and their academic experience. The school spirit at times is not great but there is a variety of sports for whatever suits your interest. They also added somewhere around 12-13 clubs during my Senior year which opens up more opportunities for students to get involved. As far as diversity goes there is mediocre racial diversity as well as mediocre economic diversity. Once again, although there is not a great amount of diversity, the students that are in the minority are still accepted very quickly and there is little to no exclusion of students between friend groups.

Junior: The environment is incredible! Everyone is kind, friendly, and driven. You are motivated to excel and your teachers have a personal interest in you - especially because the classes are small. You're learning lots of great things and constantly taught principles of faith, patriotism, and leadership. One thing that is less than ideal is the load of homework, but all the assignments have a purpose and are more than just busywork - you actually learn from them!

Alum: My time here at Word Of Life Christian Academy was endearing. I was a student my senior year of high school and had never attended a private school. The culture is different from public schools. Academically, this was the best option for me. I excelled here at Word of Life. The teachers are more personal and one-on-one with the students. The principal is the best! she works with all grades and loves each and every one of her students. I would love to see this school grow in the sports department and also in the arts department.

Parent: The Academics and Activities here are excellent friendly staff and community. I would like it if every class room had a teachers aid i helping when i could as do other parents but we can't always be there. I think it would help tremendously both for the teachers and students. Teachers need to be able to focus on their students, and students need constructive attention. With the help of a teachers aid both students and teachers will get the assistance they need.
