Middle School Student: Air Base is a great school. I have attended there for all of elementary through middle school and I have enjoyed it. The teachers and staff are awesome and if your worried about a lot of work, it's manageable. Air Base ensures that students are educated about different places and events around the world. For example, parades that we can voluntarily participate in and show our appreciation for different cultures. It also has a variety of after-school clubs that students can join. Middle School Student: i am going to school at ischs now and am very satisfied by their curriculum, they challenge you to be the greatest you can be and the teachers there are helpful and know what they are doing. The middle school is built like the high school so they prepare us very well for high school and you get to learn a new language or if you are fluent in a french you can take the french advanced classes were some subjects like math and history are taught i french. Middle School Student: Herbert A. Ammons is a wonderful school and offers great program. The IB program allows the students to learn more about other cultures. I took AP Spanish in 8th grade and it was one of the best decisions, especially because the spanish teachers were spectacular. Junior: I attended Jose Marti Mast for the past six years, and while this school has played a significant role in who I am as a person today, it was not without its faults. JMMA has provided me with a stellar education and teachers dedicated to their students, but it has failed in terms of activities and class unity. Lack of school spirit developed from poorly planned outings and in-school projects, making it harder to create a linked community. When students have concerns, it is challenging to turn to a staff that tends to be just as lost and misinformed as we are. Despite its defects, JMMA has created a competitive environment for the students, which keeps everyone focused on academia and continuously working towards improvement. AP and honors courses are prioritized, and students are encouraged to chase the pursuit of knowledge rigorously. Parent: The person who wrote before must be having a bad experience at the school or doesn't really know how the school system runs. I've had my kids at three different schools both before this one were supposed excellent charter schools and they were horrible. I almost enrolled my children in coral gables prep before finding this school, what a life saver, cgp was just a bad environment. Parent: My daughter has been with Pinecrest Academy North since Kindergarten and I can't be happier with this school. Administration, staff, and teachers are of great support to us parents, always communicating with us and informing us about children's progress. I love the school's dedication to the students, and I love the agility that the school has in making decisions. When it came to the pandemic, we had 0 problems and the kids didn't lose a single day of learning, transitioning to virtual in 48 hours. Also, safety measures at the school are very strict and strictly followed. Children have several enrichment options for afternoon activities for sports and clubs. Senior: The Osceola County School for the Arts (OCSA) is a school full of possibilities. The administration and teachers are amazing and supportive. It is the perfect setting for students aspiring to become artists. The multiple majors, clubs, events, etc. present opportunities that are unmatched. I attended OCSA as a band major from grades 6-12. I wish that there is funding for the school to have a state-of-the-art facility. I also hope they incorporate piano as a primary instrument (for band, orchestra, vocal, etc.). I auditioned on piano but I instead played percussion because piano is not considered a primary instrument. OCSA is great at creating exceptional musicians and artists. I feel, however, that I did not get the most of this experience because I could not play my primary instrument.
