Senior: Elite Scholars Academy is a charter school located in Jonesboro, Georgia. I have been at Elite Scholars Academy since sixth grade, and I am now a senior. I felt like the school really pushed its other students and I academically in order to prepare us for college. There is just an atmosphere to excel and do better. The school focuses a lot of academics that sports and clubs kind of get side-lined, which I think is not the best. COVID-19 has also made school a little more tiresome because nobody really wants to do virtual school, both teachers and students. However, I do enjoy the face-to-face portions. I also feel like the seniors get the short-end of the stick because of the pandemic and we aren't really able to celebrate our last year of highschool to the fullest, which sucks. Sophomore: My experience at Charles R Drew Charter School has been interesting. Drew has a different school culture and focuses than most schools. Drew has given me a unique and more technology integrated way of learning, which is different from most. My school is diverse which is beneficial to the present 21-century changing workforce. Drew has explored me to different projects and activities to explore different types of teaching. Since, Drew is a S.T.E.A.M and a Project-Based Learning school classes offered to show me a connection between two subjects before this, the connection was not clear. One of the many I like are the different clubs offered and the variety. One thing I want to see change at Drew is the environment. Our environment at Drew can be chaotic at times. Middle School Student: This is one of the BEST middle schools ever, the food from the cafeteria is usually very good, I love the pizza, pizza sticks, and cheesy nachos (you can get the nachos with jalapeños). The teachers are good, some are mean but most are nice or cool. The restroom stalls in the boys restroom usually have pee on the seats, toilet paper on the floor, and unflushed toilets. We have these behaviors cards that face-to-face students use, if you get 1 strike you’ll get a phone call to your parents, second is detention, third is ISS (In School Suspension). Bullying over here is rare to experience. Sports are okay and they teach you basketball, football, frisbee, soccer, and badminton. PE for me was one semester long but I don’t know if there is year-long classes. So if you’re choosing what middle school to go to/ bring your kid, then go to this school!... Read 5 reviews

Works Here: Temple Middle School is a very responsive school and when issues come up, they respond very quickly and work hard to provide excellent customer service. The faculty and staff live and work in the Temple community and are committed to making the school premier. Parent: Mason Creek Middle School stands out above the rest of the middle schools in the county. MCMS is a school that depicts what the real world is all about. From their diverse population of students and staff to the rigor and expectations set from the top down in and out of the classroom. My favorite part of the school is the atmosphere that is created for students to achieve these expectations. Students know that the bar is set high, but they know as they are working towards meeting these expectations they have a team of people right beside them. This circle not only includes the classroom teacher, but the administrative staff, the clerical staff and the custodial team are with them in the trenches to help build them up and assist them with meeting the goal. Alum: I was in this school years ago I can't remember when but I'm class of 2021 so I'm now in college. The school is really good tbh. The teachers know what they're doing and the connections teachers are really passionate about their classes. The only downsides really are the lunch food and some of the nonsense rules like no phones in the cafe and the whole walking in a line to go everywhere...
