Junior: Reagan is an excellent school in Milwaukee when it comes to academics and planning for the future. We have been practicing for the ACT since freshman year although that doesn't make it any easier it dose help to know what we are going into which is more then what can be said for some other schools. While that is one of the greatest highlights at Reagan what brings it down is the inconsistency when it comes to teachers and staff. Being that while some staff members are a breath of fresh air and an absolute pleasure to be taught by this does not apply to all staff. Which causes a different experience for all of the students, causing some to feel discouraged at times because of the harmful actions and words of some teachers. The school also needs to improve the diversity among staff, being that as a person of color when we go to school there isn't any who looks like us or can relate to our experiences. Senior: The best part of my experience has been the sports. I found that the community within each individual sport was extremely supportive, and being a part of that community was super rewarding. Overall, the school is fine. The teachers can be hit-or-miss, and the facilities are not ideal (at least right now, they are undergoing a renovation), but the community is wonderful, and I always feel like I belong, and am supported.... Alum: I only spent my senior year at South, but I had such a great time. The teachers are awesome, either they're fun or strict and good at what they do, or both! There is such a wide variety of electives to take, anyone can find one they're interested in. The diversity is incredible and the staff are very understanding and supporting. Flex mod schedule was a very interesting experience but fun. You don't have the same old boring schedule every day. Every corner you turn, there is at least one mural. The art department and tech ed department have a wide selection of courses to take depending on what you're interested in. Overall I had a great experience. If anything, the students need to stop fooling around in the bathrooms, forcing them to be closed, then you have to run around wondering which bathrooms are currently open.... Read 166 reviews

Senior: Hayward High School has a very engaging group of students at it which makes everyone feel included and make an enjoyable dynamic at sports games. Hayward High School offers extracurriculars in addition to normal classes. There are many advanced-type classes available, whether it be AP classes or Honors classes. The school has taught me what it takes to be pushed and succeed. It has prepared me for whatever comes next in my life. The Athletic Code and Student Handbook with alcohol and drug-related issues need to be focused on a little more. Other issues are backpacks and music. Backpacks aren't allowed and must be left in lockers. It is very frustrating and the rule should be adjusted. Also, there is a "no headphone" policy. This rule should be amended. Senior: I’ve been enrolled in Colfax high school all four years of my high school career. And to be honest it is the best time I’ve spent inside of a public building of this hierarchy. The only thing I would like to see change in this amazing building would have to be the student involvement between eachother and some of of the MANY clubs Colfax has to offer. Certain teachers are too easy on their students and are to lenient on due dates.
