Senior: I would consider my experience with Hampton Bays High School as excellent. Overall I have been going to Hampton Bays High School since freshman year and I would consider Hampton Bays High School as a wonderful high school to meet a variety of people. As we all know, friends tend to be the motivation to go to school and this school is a great way to attach yourselves with new people and meet friends for the rest of your lives. Hampton Bays High School has a positive and nurturing climate which is the greatest thing about this school. Hampton Bays High School shows students how important it is to work hard and teaches students that determination can lead to success.The administration and staff helps students feel welcomed and comfortable at the school, as well as help students make important decisions in the future.This school lets students join various clubs/activities to achieve success and fulfillment.... Senior: I first came to Long Island in late 2011 from Canarsie, Brooklyn, and I started first grade at the Deauville Gardens Elementary School. Following the completion of elementary and middle school, I attended the Walter G. O'Connell Copiague High School starting in September of 2019. In my 4 years here, I have to say that I was truly happy to be a part of such a wonderful school community. It's easy to make friends here, the teachers are very supportive and rigorous, and everyone is really accepting. The activities the school offer is truly wonderful, and everyone strives for success through friendship, hard work, and fun. Although I'm leaving the school in June, I thank it for the position it brought me to. Although it's a good school, it has it's problems, such as misbehaving students and gang activity.... Senior: During my four experience at Longwood High School. I have had to experience Covid shutdown for my 9th grade and part of my 10th grade years. This making new friends was challenging. We had to do all of our school work on the computer with very little interaction with others. So as my 11th year approached I was excited and nervous to meet new people. As my 11th year went on, the teachers, staff and administration helped us all transition into this school year with such great understanding of what we had all have just gone through. Knowing it wasn't just you (me) having the same feelings. I knew we were all in this together which has made my high school experience an experience that will never be forgotten. For all of us. Senior: I love my school only because of the Floyd academy. Floyd academy is another school inside the school. It’s for kids with anxiety and social problems, including kids that have exceeding grades to were they can graduate early same with kids who don’t have many credits they help to get you on track in no time. The teachers are amazing they are really like family. We recently just decorated our side of the school with paper snowflakes and chains hanging from the ceiling let me tell you…that was a lot of paper but the teamwork and leadership portrayed was what makes Floyd academy what it is the place to be yourself but learn to be with a team and grow yourself in the process to.
