Stivers School for the Arts
- Dayton City School District, OH
- Rating 4.13 out of 5 210 reviews
Senior: Stivers definitely has many, many problems, but in comparison to the rest of DPS and most local schools, it's far better. The diversity is extremely high. The drug problem is very manageable and small compared to the surrounding schools/districts. There can be cliques but there are no "popular kids," only well-known ones and less well known ones. Bullying goes on here but to a minimal extent, most of the people will either tolerate you or be quite friendly. The consensus for every art magnet seems to be it's fine but could be drastically improved-- a lot of people drop theirs at least once. The academics are incredibly mixed. I've had some amazing teachers that taught me so much and were there for me and I've had some that made me miserable. Overall, the academics are fine, you do learn. The school needs a lot of policy changes and has a lot of problems but I really enjoyed my time at Stivers and made a ton of friends. If in the DPS system, this is definitely your best option!!

Dayton Early College Academy
- Public School
- Dayton, OH
- Rating 3.91 out of 5 138 reviews
Senior: My experience at Dayton Early College Academy has been my best experience at any school! This is saying a lot considering it has been the 9th school I have attended in my 11 years of schooling. It is evident that the teachers deeply care about their students and do their best to form genuine relationships. The curriculum, while rigorous, is greatly balanced with teacher student and class activities that are fun and stress reliving. The small number of kids creates an at home environment and it is inevitable to not build extremely close relationships.
