Alum: I started attending Booker T. Washington when I was in first grade. As a child, I remember the staff and faculty as welcoming and kind. Although I recall frustrating my teachers occasionally, they always remained patient and committed to my education. At the time, I valued my teachers but as the years have passed, I have only come to appreciate them more. I entered into this elementary school with severe ADHD. It was no doubt that I was a challenge. I had trouble focusing, keeping my hands to myself, staying quiet, and remaining still. Despite all of those problems, I never remember one teacher giving up on me or refusing to help me because I was difficult. I remember constant encouragement and support. I will never forget the educational foundation that the teachers at Booker T. Washington laid and the determination they exhibited to see me succeed in the classroom. In hindsight, I understand how much of a challenge I was and will be forever grateful for their commitment towards me.

Parent: This school is very special because my son has a developmental delay and ADHD he has approved academically in the past 2 years at this school than any other school he has ever been to. He went from struggling in special ED to excelling with honor roll 3 out of 4 marking periods and not only do they provide special education but they also provide normal education as well and has always treated my son like family. I really love this school.
