#14 Niche Standout Elementary Schools in California
Delevan Drive Elementary School
Parent: - Diverse, supportive learning environment – Small classes with lots of individual attention. Well-stocked classes with areas for reading, writing labs, math manipulatives, nutrition/cooking, and technology.
- Gorgeous campus - A real auditorium and library! Large garden with an active Enrich LA program.
- Tenured teachers - Our TK/Kinder teacher here is headed into her 35th year of teaching. She knows her stuff, and treats the class like her own family. Charters do have some great ideas, but tend to have high teacher turn-over and lots of newer teachers.
- PTA & community support is on the rise! I’ve never met a bunch of people more excited to make good things happen for their kids.
- Great low-cost after school options & enrichment classes available throughout the year.
- Superior academics - One of the top-ranked schools in the area for test scores. Maybe not the most important thing in elementary school, but certainly can’t hurt either.... Read 7 reviews
