There are a plethora of sports, clubs, honor societies, and activities for everyone. While we are a school known for athletics, we are also known for our faith. Senior: Coming to Our Lady of Lourdes Academy as a freshman was an extremely challenging period. The primary characteristic of it being an all-girls school was one of the biggest obstacles I had to overcome, as growing up I was always brought up in a coeducational environment. However, I believe now this is one of its strongest features. The school instills strong senses independence and self-sufficiency, but at the same time cultivates a strong sense of community and solidarity. Niche User: I cannot say enough amazing things about this school. Many do not know that it has small class sizes and fought the archdiocese to remain that way, even though they have an enormous campus and could easily fit three times the amount of students. Their course options are the longest list of any other school I have seen. The STEAM program is a spectacular hands on career preparation honors program, including their health sciences program that partners with next door Mercy Hospital so that students walk over and take courses there. The administration, teachers, coaches are welcoming and supportive. They want to help you succeed. I have only ever heard amazing reviews about ILS from parents and students. I highly recommend you attend their open-house which is impressive. Student acceptances to colleges are on-par or better than other private schools in Miami. Alum: As a recent SJPII alum (class of 2022), I can say I had a great experience at SJPII. By far, the best thing about SJPII was the teachers/admin - many were outstanding, committed, and truly enjoyed teaching their different subjects. The school community is very warm and welcoming. The football/basketball/volleyball games can be especially popular, and the whole community often comes out to the biggest games of the season. I enjoyed the many classes of the Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment curriculum, which allowed me to earn many college credits with a manageable amount of work. The private education at SJPII is certainly a great aspect, and it's the most affordable you'll find around Boca Raton for a school of equal caliber. Alum: Cardinal Gibbons is a great environment where it truly feels like you are surrounded by family. Religion is the forefront, but they don't discriminate against people who aren't catholic. The teachers are INCREDIBLE. They are extremely dedicated to the educational growth of the students and are always ready to go out of their way to help the students. The school is a great place to make friends as well. They have frequent pep rallies with icebreakers. Welcome week is the best!! Senior: Four years at this school has given me all the tools l need to have various college options and it has prepared me for collegiate athletics. This is a homework heavy high school and the curriculum is college prep. Theres alot of clubs and extracurricular activities so there’s something for everyone. Parent: I have 2 daughters that have and are going to Saint David Catholic School. My older daughter was well prepared for Catholic High School and is doing well there! She fondly reminisces about some of the experiences she had in the lower grades, i.e. trips, reading partners, field day, track , class parties and the Lift program. Currently my younger daughter is attending St. David and she is achieving high grades and handling it all very well. She is participating in cheerleading again . Her teachers have all helped her to perform at her best and motivate her often to succeed, even if it is not her favorite subject or skill/ project. Parent: In Our Lady of Lourdes it’s not just and elementary/middle school it’s a family. When you need support the parish is there to help. Faculty and staff treat all there students as there own kids, which is so reassuring to the parents. In any time during today’s world issues I’ve never felt unsure about sending my children to school, they have been well prepared for every situation. Best Elementary- Middle Catholic School! My family has been apart of the Parish and Jaguar family since 2004, with all 3 of my children.
