Senior: I absolutely love Saint Thomas More. It has been my home for the past four years, and I could not have been happier anywhere else. My favorite thing about STM is the the amount of clubs you can get involved in. Although I am not athletic or play any sports, I was able to find many activities and clubs to get involved in. I also loved all of my teachers over here. Our teachers are very dedicated to the needs of each individual student. I would not change one thing.

Parent: Vermilion Catholic is a small parochial school located in Abbeville, Louisiana. I have three children who have graduated from VC. One of the sayings in the school is "We are a family" and that is very much true. The administration and staff knew my children by name and would go out of their way for them. If the kids got sick, they cared for them until someone could get to them. If they did poorly in a class, someone was there to tutor them. The environment is steeped in religion. All students at VC have a relationship with the parish priest and he knew each of them by name. I could not have chosen a better place for my children to attend high school. Go Eagles!

Junior: From my nearly three years of experience, Notre Dame has played a major role in my life. With the main focuses of religion, academics, and athletics (in that order), the school provides a safe and welcoming environment for teenagers to learn. A downside, however, is that the facilities are extremely outdated. The girls bathrooms are definitely below-standard; there is only one bathroom stall that provides privacy by means of locking and being an appropriate length. The classrooms still lack the technology used in most schools, such as Promethian and Ēno boards. All-in-all, this school has provided me with a quality education, a deeper understanding and love for my faith, and multiple opportunities to become a state champion in both the sports of softball and volleyball.

Senior: Catholic High has a great atmosphere. As a student, I was able to do hands on experiments and am very involved in the school community. The school has a variety of different sports and clubs to participate in. During homecoming week, students are given many fun activities to participate in such as paint wars and manther (boys play volleyball) along with powder puff. The teachers strive to make sure each child is ready for college and has the best education. At Catholic High, it is more like family than it is school.

Alum: I am an Opelousas catholic alumni and I started attending in the 3rd grade and met some of my best friends today. I played basketball, ran track, played softball, and was on pep squad. My high school career was a great experience. Everyone there knew each other so it wasn’t like a big school where it is easy to become lonely. It was a great school I would recommend them gettin better teachers to prep them for college.
