Junior: Over my 11 years in Red Oak ISD, I’ve had a positive experience for the majority of my years. Throughout elementary school, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Every teacher and staff member made me feel special, valued, and important. They always catered to my different abilities and skills, and I never felt like I was being held back academically. When I went to the Middle School, it was definitely a culture shock. The whole experience was different. My teachers were okay, and the facility was for sure not at the capacity it needed to be to best serve the students, but it did the job. Half way into my eighth grade year, COVID struck, but the transition to online was super smooth and easy. Now that I’ve been at the high school for two full years, my freshman year online, the teachers have been awesome and clubs, etc, have been lovely.
