Senior: Overall experience was good. I wish they offered more college ready resources. I feel as if most of the experiences given were not helpful in preparing me for college or preparing me on how to pay for college. The best of my experience is that I did form great relationships with the faculty and staff and I feel like they were all supportive with my educational experiences and helping me to succeed. The worst part was the course offerings. Again, I feel like the courses offered were not college ready courses. If I could change one thing I would like to see more workshops to help students like myself with filling out college applications. I would also like to see resources for financial aid.... Sophomore: The Keansburg School District is just about an average rated school if not a little more. The school has great technology for example chrome books and mac books for the students to use. As well as computers in school to use for research and school work. The staff and teacher in the schools are always trying to help the students out. We also are working on the rights for lgbtq students, with that clubs and after school activities like sports are always offered to students that meet requirement. But where the school falls short is funding, my reasoning to this is the school will give certain sports team hire funds by what they find more valuable. Also the art and music classes at the school are struggling as we don't have the resources to get the materials needed. But that has stop to students from creating good work. Senior: The Matawan Regional school district provided tremendous opportunities for educational and social learning. The school provides a broad range of classes that allows students to express their individuality through their desired courses. From an academic standpoint Matawan provides all the opportunities needed for students to embrace their learning abilities to the fullest. However, the school is not the most efficient when it comes to the hygiene of the building. The school has a continuous problem with mice a long with extremely unsanitary bathrooms. Aside from lackluster cleanliness of the school, Matawan has provided me with a great journey throughout my four years of high school and I am happy to say that I attended Matwan Regional High-school.... Senior: My experience at Ocean Township High School has been for the most part very well. The teachers I have had throughout my years have and will continue to be my role models. The positive energy throughout the school makes it easy and pleasant for me to come to school everyday! The diversity of students at Ocean Township is wonderful, which makes it very easy to make friends that will last a lifetime. I strongly suggest to get involved! Whether it is joining a sports team, or finding one of Ocean Townships many clubs! It is almost impossible to not find something you are interested in, and if you do Ocean makes it very easy to start a new club! Senior: I love how diverse the school is and how everyone is so welcoming. We are a big family and we love making everyone happy. The teachers and faculty are awesome and they are the best. The school feels like home and we see that everyone is just so positive. Everyone can be so friendly and very nice. You will meet your people at this school. The classes are very spacious. I was always happy to go to school because every day there was always something fun to do. I love all the teachers I had for all my 4 years of being there. I will come to visit when I get the chance. I'm pretty sure my friends and even classmates can say the same! The material the teachers teach is interactive and it won't get you bored. There are fun activities and it is not just all work. School is school obviously but it is fun, especially this school. I wouldn't change anything in my opinion. The only thing they can do is improve the air conditioning in the school. Senior: FRHSD provides countless opportunities that had a lasting impact on me. Experimenting with various electives enabled me to shape my identity and path for the future. I created preschool lesson plans, played piano, etched a scratchboard, and even wrote a novel. Not only did I learn many diverse skills, I learned about myself. I am thankful for all of the experiences I took part in, including the ones I did not enjoy or shine in. None of it could have been possible without the friendly and helpful staff. Besides help with schoolwork, many helped with personal issues by giving advice and simply checking in. Knowing that the staff truly supports me and wants me to succeed in and outside the classroom made me feel valued. The only thing that should change is the rigor of the classes. Once I received "guided" notes that were completed! I was disappointed when I wasted time in subjects I was interested in. I know I could have learned more, and that FRHSD can actualize that.... Sophomore: I attend Marlboro Highschool. It’s a good school, with good people. The teachers are for the most part good, but the curriculum, speed at which teachers teach, and amount of homework could be improved. Lots of teachers have not much sympathy for the children taking their courses, and this severely brings down the desire to learn and succeed. In addition, the school does not have pep rallies or fun, school-environment building things. However, I have enjoyed my time there thus far because other teachers are great. Parent: The Holmdel School District provides the best all around educational opportunities in the State, which can be attributed to what is occurring in the school and outside. For instance, there is a heavy emphasis on academics by many within the community -- the instruction that occurs during the school day is supported by tutoring at home to make sure that their child can succeed. Parents also provide tremendous support for children who are interested in the arts and sports. The Holmdel community also passed a referendum to support investments in the school facilities. Senior: We live in a beautiful community where we’re lucky enough to be surrounded by adults who genuinely care about our success and wellbeing. It’s very important to live somewhere kept clean and safe for children and I believe that Manasquan School District prides themselves on doing exactly that. Being a town by the beach, it can be hard to remember that our lives don’t revolve around summer! Senior: I believe while it is a very good school district the administration does not try to engage with students but rather treat them like the grades they have rather than what they can achieve. The administration cares for students that thrive but when a student isn't the cause is just on the student when sometimes all they need is some guidance. I enjoyed my time in this school district but there are times where I believe the administration could be more helpful to the students. Finally, I believe that sports are very important however there is such an issue with the bussing and many top-notch athletes can not get the sporting events they need to in order to show their athletic ability.... Junior: Middle school is not always a pleasant time for many people. However, in opinion, middle school was probably one of the best times for me to shape myself into an independent, hardworking person. Before I began sixth grade, I was immensely nervous and afraid of the future work that I had to complete. Fortunately, I had nothing to worry about. The staff of Millstone Township middle school always made me feel very comfortable and accepted. In the beginning I struggled with the new environment. Thankfully, all of my teachers made me feel very welcome and addressed every question I have had. Making new friends in middle was easy for me. The school offered extra curricular activities which is where I met most of my friends. The one thing that I would change in my middle school is having more school spirit activities. Senior: I have had nothing but love for WHS the whole time I have gone there. We have struggled with several things as a community but none the less we went through it together. We have tons of clubs and extra curricular activities! We are a sports based school meaning that a lot of what we do surrounds our teams, mainly football, lacrosse and baseball.
