Parent: Little Elm ISD has impressed us with the caliber of progressive educators and curriculum since our children started their school lives there. From its first day, Prestwick STEM Academy (K-8) introduced the open classroom plan and hands-on learning style in which our kids thrived, and led the district in STEM/STEAM education that is taking over all the district campuses. LEISD continues to provide rich learning opportunities through smart hiring of all their staff, from administrators to teachers to support staff. Junior: Denton ISD has been the district I’ve grown up in. Throughout the years I’ve had the opportunity to watch it progress, flourish, and continue to inspire numerous amount of students. The courses they offer are unlimited. They truly care about their students, starting from their teachers to their office staff. Alum: It was a privilege to attend elementary through high school at LISD. The emphasis on academic excellence provided many opportunities to learn and grow. I felt completely comfortable with the resources available; it allowed me to explore different career options and gain high level skills. For instance, through the AP/varsity arts program, I got lots of helpful critique from teachers, had total creative freedom to make all kinds of artwork, and was able to submit my work to many competitions. I also attended a class at the career center which helped me make a better decision about my future. The only issue with my schools was the lack of diversity and culture, as they were all majority white. Senior: I am fifteen and I hope to gradute high school this upcoming June, at a mere two years with the help of Premier High School. The experience that I have gained over the time would be just like any other, concerning the “Drama” every high school is bound to get. Concerning academic knowledge, may I say it is astounding if the student follows the procedures and understands the information given. I, myself have felt the mental enlightenment acquired when embracing knowledge at relatively fast pace. I also love the way this program prepares us for college and work related situations as well as enforcing presentability in their students. Although, I would like for the district to change its procedures, on how the students move forward in their studies as some are held back and others it seems the system just isn’t right for them as they don’t advance.... Senior: I have attended the Lake Dallas Independent School District for all 13 years of my education. I remember every single one of my teachers pf those years, because they all left some kind of impact on me, most of which was positive. One of my favorite qualities integrated into the district if the small town feeling that is undeniable. Everybody knows your family and friends, and siblings pass through the same classrooms and teachers as their older brothers and sisters once did. There is no better feeling than your second grade teacher recognizing you ten years later. As far as changes are concerned, a teacher pay raise would keep many of those great teachers returning to the district. A grand new stadium is being built, and it would help to give a bit of that money back to the teachers. It's sad to leave what I've known for 13 years, but I'm ready to take what Lake Dallas has given me and start my own path in the world.... Read 29 reviews

From the hundreds of events that consisted of baking or contests, to the leadership development skills they taught to the students, Leadership Prep School has proven to be a vital resource for the coming ages. Senior: In my time at Pilot Point High School, the school excels in social studies and science courses, while also exceeding in their athletic programs. Some improvements could be made to their selection of food choices and nutritional options. Freshman: Sanger, although being small, is a great school. Teacher are more involved in students lives. Also with recent upgrades in school lent technologies I feel the school really cares for the students. Junior: I never fully appreciated schools in the NISD district until I came back from another school (a charter school). In my experience back to NISD, I had better care, education, and overall experience. I managed to go from C's and D's back to my usual average, A & B average when I came back to this district. Alum: I started this school in my freshman year. The teachers are wonderful and most will bend over backwards to help their students understand the material. One teacher even offered to help my with assignments, from another class, over the winter break! The school itself, however, is in need of repairs. The entire time I was in school, no one would drink from the fountains. This is because they were either so old they'd begun peeling from the walls or the water would make children sick from the filters not being changed.... Read 10 reviews

Senior: Ponder High School is a great school to meet new people and learn about different cultures. I love how small Ponder is, you have all the parents involved in the school district. The teachers are amazing and will help you in anyway they can, they will help you succeed and get you to your goals. The only thing I would fix about this school is the food, personally I do not like the school food. Parent: We have been in the Argyle for 2 years. We used to homeschool and some of our kids wanted to try public school. Having experience with the Hilltop Elementary , Argyle Intermediate, & Argyle High School...we have loved our experience. The transition was very smooth for the kids. I will tell you I was very selective on what school district we would place our kids. There is no perfect school, but Argyle ISD has exceeded my expectations. I will also share we foster kids as well, some have not had the best academics and Argyle ISD, teachers, & staff have made the process very smooth for all of our kids.
