Parent: My daughters attended the Middle School and are currently in PSH. Both had positive experiences with teachers and administration. When we had an issue with course placement the principal listened to our concerns and responded by placing our students in the courses we preferred. Our daughters have excelled in honors classes. In 8th grade some changes were made to incorporate higher and lower level students into the same classes. I hope they have not continued that practice for math and reading. Parent: Lehman Intermediate is fantastic. They challenge my son academically. They help him de-escalate when he gets overwhelmed. They support and encourage him. Only half a year in a new district and he's happy, enjoys going to school again, is a straight-A student, and is being encouraged to take AP science and social studies next year. His teachers are eager to get him into extra-curriculars, in particular the gaming club and computer programming. My heart is overjoyed with East Stroudsburg Area School District and Lehman Intermediate. All I can do is give thanks that he has better circumstances now and is thriving. Sophomore: The staff and students here are amazing. So far my time at this school has been a really wonderful experience. I enrolled into PA Virtual in 2019. Im now currently in 10th grade and a straight A student. The teachers and staff here make sure you really understand each lesson and will do everything to work with you to get you’re grades where they need to be. In addition, they provide excellent laptops and other materials to help you through each school year. They also have a variety of fun school clubs and programs for getting you ready for college. Senior: Overall Lehigh Valley Academy is a great school if you are deciding to go to an international school or examine for IB credits. If you are looking for a regular high school diploma, this school is not for you. The curriculum is very intense and there are many requirements in order to obtain your IB credits. The school is small compared to local high schools but there is still school spirit and fun activities that student council creates. The biggest asset to the sports at LVA is their Step Team, they have had the opportunity to win first place at the State competition and go to nationals! There is dress code at the school. There is a lot of pressure on the juniors and seniors due to the Diploma Programme, they also offer a Career Programme for students who are more interested in engineering or biomedical. Junior: I have been at School Lane Charter School since I was in 2nd grade and I am not a junior in high school. I commend School Lane for always seeking ways to better the experience of students. You can see that each year is a year to reflect on the past which I like. The high school IB Campus is very small so this gives teachers the ability to get to know their students and understand what the best environment will be to help them succeed academically. The academic portion is very rigorous and this is taught school wide. REFLECTING is a big thing at school lane which is great because how are you gonna grow without reflection? I wish that the voices of students were heard more though. I wish that more opportunities were given to students to grow socially. I feel that many students feel that their voices aren't heard. Parent: Let me just state that my children absolutely love attending MaST II Community Charter School Tacony. The teachers are excellent, although I'd love to see more diversity in regards to the staff. The curriculum is great with lots of advanced learning material for each grade level. They have plenty of after school programs to assist children who may need more attention in certain areas like Math and/or Reading. The extra curriculum activities are great and keeps children active and engaged. The overall environment is wonderful and the staff is open and communicates very well with parents. One of my only complaints is that they need a better lunch menu. My children are not that picky but always come home complaining that the food was either nasty, bland or that they simply did not want it. So, I'm hoping that they work on adding more delicious and healthy options for children to choose from. Otherwise, I'll continue packing their lunch. :-)... Read 5 reviews

Senior: I love Philadelphia Performing Arts: String Theory. My school is very different from ordinary high schools that just offer general education classes. We have a beautiful building that is in the heart of center city. I love that my high school offers major and elective classes alongside of our gen-ed classes. My school has a wide variety of majors that span from dance and music to tv and broadcasting and theater to stem, art and design. I have been an engineering major all throughout high school. I have also loved my architecture elective that I have been taking my last two years of high school. I am grateful for the resources and opportunities my school has opened up for me. I thank String Theory for allowing me to find a passion in architecture and engineering at such a young age. Middle School Student: My experience has been amazing. I have only gone to school here for a year, which was cut short because of the virus. However, those few months were the best months of my life. This school is so diverse, and you can find every ethnicity at our school. Even though this school is amazing, there are still things that I would love to change. The readiness for high school/college is not very good. The teachers are very nice and they are all good teachers, but the material they teach do not prepare us for high school very much.
