Parent: My daughters attended the Middle School and are currently in PSH. Both had positive experiences with teachers and administration. When we had an issue with course placement the principal listened to our concerns and responded by placing our students in the courses we preferred. Our daughters have excelled in honors classes. In 8th grade some changes were made to incorporate higher and lower level students into the same classes. I hope they have not continued that practice for math and reading. Junior: I have been at School Lane Charter School since I was in 2nd grade and I am not a junior in high school. I commend School Lane for always seeking ways to better the experience of students. You can see that each year is a year to reflect on the past which I like. The high school IB Campus is very small so this gives teachers the ability to get to know their students and understand what the best environment will be to help them succeed academically. The academic portion is very rigorous and this is taught school wide. REFLECTING is a big thing at school lane which is great because how are you gonna grow without reflection? I wish that the voices of students were heard more though. I wish that more opportunities were given to students to grow socially. I feel that many students feel that their voices aren't heard. Parent: For any pre teen and teen Middle School is typically tough. Snyder definitely helps students adjust from Elementary to Senior High school. Parent: Let me just state that my children absolutely love attending MaST II Community Charter School Tacony. The teachers are excellent, although I'd love to see more diversity in regards to the staff. The curriculum is great with lots of advanced learning material for each grade level. They have plenty of after school programs to assist children who may need more attention in certain areas like Math and/or Reading. The extra curriculum activities are great and keeps children active and engaged. The overall environment is wonderful and the staff is open and communicates very well with parents. One of my only complaints is that they need a better lunch menu. My children are not that picky but always come home complaining that the food was either nasty, bland or that they simply did not want it. So, I'm hoping that they work on adding more delicious and healthy options for children to choose from. Otherwise, I'll continue packing their lunch. :-)... Read 5 reviews

Junior: The atmosphere there is really nice and inviting once you get to know everyone, it's almost like family. Sports are a big thing for Woodbury and most people show their love for their sports through their team effort. I personally had a rough beginning with Woodbury when trying to fit in, most people attending Woodbury have been in the district their whole lives, so when trying to find a place to settle down it can become very hard. Senior: I love Philadelphia Performing Arts: String Theory. My school is very different from ordinary high schools that just offer general education classes. We have a beautiful building that is in the heart of center city. I love that my high school offers major and elective classes alongside of our gen-ed classes. My school has a wide variety of majors that span from dance and music to tv and broadcasting and theater to stem, art and design. I have been an engineering major all throughout high school. I have also loved my architecture elective that I have been taking my last two years of high school. I am grateful for the resources and opportunities my school has opened up for me. I thank String Theory for allowing me to find a passion in architecture and engineering at such a young age. Middle School Student: My experience has been amazing. I have only gone to school here for a year, which was cut short because of the virus. However, those few months were the best months of my life. This school is so diverse, and you can find every ethnicity at our school. Even though this school is amazing, there are still things that I would love to change. The readiness for high school/college is not very good. The teachers are very nice and they are all good teachers, but the material they teach do not prepare us for high school very much. Parent: I can't say enough about how amazing and dedicated the teachers are. They are certainly more educated, energized and prepared than teacher's I recall having back in the 1970s-80s. The school mission is founded on preparing students to be global citizens. Many students are completely fluent in Spanish at an early age because of the Spanish Immersion program. Senior: Christiana High School is a pretty standard high school based on the general expectations of higher education, however, there are lots of extra things about this school that make it so great. We are offered classes with UD and WU, AP, and Honors Classes which help with prepping for college. General education classes also have many different support systems to help students with anything! There is also a wide variety of clubs and sports. My only wish is that the administration be more active in making more effort towards LGBTQ+ students such as an all-gender restroom and having name changes in yearbooks and paperwork....
