Freshman: If you end up being in advanced classes, things will be a lot better for you. The teachers who teach advanced subjects are very inclusive and care a lot about your successful. Middle School Student: I absolutely love attending Southeast Middle School. I've thrived on my academics and extra-curricular activities there ever since I was in sixth grade. The teachers there care about their students more than anything. They actively teach them not only on the lesson but how to be a great friend, leader, and college-ready student. The only reason I would give Southeast Middle four stars out of five is that no school is perfect, and Southeast is not the exception. There is still the common problems of bullying that occurs on campus, however, not all of these problems can be addressed by the staff. The negative overuse of social media and chat rooms leave kids coming to school upset and having a lonesome feeling. I think as students, we should be helping our peers and standing up for them when the time is right. Very seldom will you hear of students using drugs but it can occur. Junior: Penn Griffin School for the Arts is a great high school! I was able to grow academically while being accepted by teachers, students, and other staff. The faculty has made an amazing effort to ensure all students have an equal chance for each and every opportunity given to the students. As an arts school, each student has the chance to be expressive in several ways and it is beautiful to see so many happy people in one space at one time. The one thing I would like to see change in Penn Griffin School for the Arts is the timeliness of all planning. Middle School Student: Southwest Guilford Middle school offers a wide array of supplementary classes for further learning. From Spanish to Orchestra to Band, students participate in a hands-on learning environment that fulfills the want to learn. Students are encouraged to create clubs and collaborate with peers in group settings. Teachers are sure to make individuals feel appreciated by catering to their learning style, whether they are visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learners. At Southwest, administrators value cultural identities with students present from over forty counties. I feel that classes are close-knit teams that are quick to listen, learn, and collaborate. Middle School Student: Well, hello. I am Antoinette McDonald and I currently am a 7th grader at South Asheboro Middle School (SAMS for short!) When I was coming to SAMS in 6th grade, I was ecstatic to come. My siblings had attended the school and they had an good experience so, I based it off of them. Not saying the school is horrible but, their is a few cons to it. Like, the lunch food. Not good at all. But, that's almost every school lunch. Besides that, I actually like SAMS although not going to lie, I am ready to be in high school because people say high school passes by swiftly. Additionally, I think the Academics and the diversity is the best part about it. I like learning new things. My favorite subject is Social Studies and Language Arts . And, everyone is welcomed their. You're not judged off your background or your race but, other things. . So I'd say so far, middle school is going by smooth. Summer is approaching soon, which means 8th grade year. Middle School Student: The Academy at Lincoln is a great school for both VS and AG students. It is all about getting you ready for highschool and college, by giving a great learning experience in middle school. However, the school has not been renovated for a very long time. The bathrooms are unbelievably disgusting and old. There are many clubs. Some of the clubs I attended to were Math Club, Coding Club, Science Olympiad, and Chess Club. The sports at Lincoln are great too, as now they are allowing 6th graders to tryout for sports too. They have baseball, volleyball, soccer, basketball, and more. Middle School Student: So far I liked my experience in the HAG team at Hanes. The teachers and students are friendly and the academics are excellent. I will say, it is diverse, but I do find there is more Asians and White Americans than other races, especially in HAG (I'm Asian btw). But other than that I think its a great school. Middle School Student: Kiser is a good school the principle is great, its just the teachers they are not good at teaching and some teachers are rude and some are nice and caring. The school is very dirty, the hallways are not clean full of dust. You can easily fit in and make friends easily. At Kiser we wear SMOD which is standard mode of dress(uniforms) which is good.
