Parent: My son went to Haut Gap Magnet Middle School during his 6-8 grades. He enjoyed attending this school that was very close to his home. During his time at Haut Gap he joined the Steel Drums class with Mr. Kelly. He loved the music department and Mr. Kelly for teaching him about the different types of culture and music. He also liked playing on the basketball team. He didn't like the fact that the students were separated and called traditional and magnet students. He wanted everyone to be on the same level where education was concerned and not separated. The students were not only separated by academics but also separated during recess and lunch time. If he had the opportunity to change anything at the school it would definitely be to get all the students on the same learning level.

Middle School Student: C.E. Williams is a great school with great teachers. The teachers listen to their students and even stay after school for some tutoring if you need it. Academics can be challenging; but if you focus enough, you will succeed. If you are having trouble with your classes you have to have the courage to talk to your teachers about your grades; the teachers do not want to see you fail, so they will help you in any way they can. This school requires you to put your things inside a designated locker, so get used to using a locker combination or try practicing. Don't worry if you forget the combination number; the teachers will have it written down for you.

Parent: I personally like this school because my child goes here and she comes home everyday telling me everything she did and how much she loves her teachers. Though this week is testing she somehow still comes home with a smile on her face telling me how much she had "fun"🤣. I also love this school because I went there when I was in middle school and was surrounded by love from my friends, the other students ( even in different grades), the teachers, and the staff other than the teachers. Over all I think if you send your child here they will have a great time and learn a lot plus have a home away from home.

Senior: It's a good school. Looking back, I wish my guidance was more involved with us student in prepping us for the SAT and ACT later in high school. Teachers pushing us to CP and AP classes. My ultimately, it's my determination to get there. Technology is vastly growing and I we could have benefit greatly from having Ebooks or Chromebook for each student. I would close the loop more with the parents, students, and teachers with group chats or emails regarding homework and assignments. In today's world, not only it great determination from the student but also huge support from parents and teachers to succeed and prepare for college.
