Alum: I had great experiences with working with the teachers and Education Specialists at Ocean Grove. Everyone I'd worked alongside during my time there was positive and wanted to get to know me as a student and a person, which have molded into some great friendships.
Ocean Grove's class selection for students can be a bit stinted. I wanted to learn a language not offered on Ocean Grove's catalog, but my Education Specialist was so invested on seeing me succeed that they worked it out so I could learn the language I wanted.
The Education Specialists also worked well with my family to answer any questions we had.
Ocean Grove was a good experience for the people, and I hope that their opportunities can be further diversified in the future.

Parent: An absolutely lovely school with a warm, kind, welcoming community. We were looking for such a community when we toured schools since we found that so many schools in Marin have top-notch academics, but they don't always pay close attention to the social/emotional development of their young students. San Domenico purposely considers both. Our son feels challenged academically while feeling supported and valued. He is so engaged with the curriculum--way more than I was at his age. I wish I could go back to school. And the campus! Gorgeous and peaceful. It smells like redwood trees.

Senior: AFE is perfect for students who don’t “fit in” in a comprehensive high school. you get the chance to participate in clubs and sports on a smaller scale, so if sports are your thing a bigger school might be better. you can take classes online, on your own, with a parent teaching you or at AFE or the community college cabrillo. I love it because I didn’t have a great time at a big school and AFE made me feel welcomed and gives me the opportunity and time to do the things i like during the day. It’s a public high school, but also a homeschool.
