Senior: Escambia is a nice High School. They offer many AP classes and lets you take Dual enrollment for college. Which is a great opportunity for kids. Before I was unrolled to Escambia, I heard we had Gator Time to let kids have a study period and I think it's a great idea to have but it was taken away because people used it to have fights instead. The bathrooms were alright but in my Junior year, some of it didn't even have a working soap dispenser or paper towels. Ever since this pandemic happened, I've been doing online classes and I thought they handled it pretty well except for the kids who are in school because when I saw many students without mask. They held a football game through this pandemic and I saw no social distancing or mask wearing on social media. I still think it's a great school over all. The teachers are nice and very helpful and counselors are very approachable.

Junior: West Florida High School of Advanced Technology lives up to its name. My experience here has been very challenging but also very rewarding at times as well. My work ethic has improved due to the amount of work given to me. West Florida High School has proven to be the best out of the other high schools in my county because of its stern focus on education and the opportunities they have to offer for their students in their future. The administration, teachers, and coaches care about the students very much and it's shown through the opportunities and efforts given to the students. Although this school has spectacular academics and programs available to their students, I would say that some of the high school experience is missing. For example, there are not many fun events offered at the school for students. Attending this school has felt like a business at times because of the work load and high expectations. Despite that, I can confidently say that West Florida High School is amazing.

Alum: Great school, great athletic programs, great maritime biology program, great business program, great ROTC program, great athletes have came from this school such as Roy Jones Jr., Derek Brooks, LaDarius Green. The first African-American 4-star general in the US armed forces, Daniel "Chappie" James Jr., went here. The school has the best track in the district, even better than the nearby university's track, a great football and practice field, a great basketball court, a great weight room, and an exceptional competition swimming pool. There are AP courses offered at this school, and the option to "dual enroll" at the local college your Junior and/or Senior year either part or full-time for free. The school is over 100 years old, not the building itself, and if I could change something about it I would bring back the discontinued woodshop program that I was fortunate enough to benefit from when I attended this school.

Senior: Pensacola High School has a very strong sense of tiger pride among the staff and most of the students. The campus has nice and useful amenities such as the renovated auditorium and the only high school in the area with a real football field. It also harbors the IB program and many AP and honors classes and I feel as though I received a great education from this school. However, some factors I did not enjoy included the set of rules that made it feel as though you are in a prison. During one year, we were only allowed to use the restroom between classes which is not always enough time.

Alum: Pine Forest was a great school for the most part. I think discipline measures for dress codes were taken a little too far though. I believe I had a good education there but some teachers did have low patience at times but I can understand their frustrations. My senior year was great that was one of my best years academically. Go class of 2014!
I wish I would have learned a little more about College Prep that year but it was full of amazing memories.

Alum: My time at Navarre High School was very enjoyable. Teachers were very attentive and truly wanted the best future for you. I made friends there that I continue to have and will forever cherish. Along with being an honors student, I was part of the volleyball team and boys' basketball manager so I always made myself busy. There was never a dull moment at this school. This school has an insane amount of school spirit. The only thing I believe its lacking is funding to make the education a little better, other than that, Go Raiders!

Senior: Milton High School is a great way to get involved with other students and pursue the career you are aiming for. I have meet many people through the course of all four years being in the high school. They have any type of club you could think of from gaming club, stamp club, or Student Body Government to name a bit. You can join as many as you like. The administration is very welcoming and open with the students as well. Any problem you have a teacher is willing to listen to you. The teachers are very involved with your life as well and will become like family. The students there are also very welcoming. We are a very sports orientated school but if that's not your thing they have many other extra curricular activities for you to do as well. Many friends to meet along the way. Over all Milton High School is the best!

Senior: J.M. Tate High School is a welcoming environment with an interactive and sometimes eccentric staff. Many teachers will serve as defining educators in your life—those teachers you think back on for being so awesome, kind, or supportive. Due to its geographic position (in Florida, nearing Alabama) you may be expecting a very country atmosphere. If so, you won't be disappointed. We've got heavy accents and pickup trucks to fit the stereotype. The campus is quite large with many buildings inside of it with many classrooms of them. More often than not, your classes will be relatively close to one another, but there are always those unlucky few that must walk for several minutes to the gym each day. As far as public schools go, the campus is pretty decent. Sure, some of the bathroom stall doors haven't been fixed in the four years I have been attending the school, but that's minor stuff (Hey, faculty! If you're reading this, step up your game).

Junior: This school, is great. It might be small in size but the school has a big heart for all the students. I don’t know if I would be in school if it wasn’t for Northview. That school made me want to thrive in the world and to go to college! This school is amazing they care for all the students and staff.

Freshman: I’m just starting as a Freshman here, but I love this school! I am involved in Yearbook, WPHS, and Beta! It’s a big campus, but still easy to find your way around. Everyone here is like a big family, and we have lots of cool traditions! The teachers are nice, and they offer tons of classes in every field. I couldn’t see myself not going to PHS.

Junior: Gulf Breeze High School has been a fantastic transition and transformation for me, changing me from a lowly-motivated, shy, grumpy boy to a happy, disciplined, more outgoing young man. My old school that I was in for freshman and sophomore year was not terrible, but definitely not great either. In my old school everyone was more worried about themselves, showing little interest to others; several of the staff were difficult to work with; and the workload and the schedule made it stressful for a lot of students. When I transitioned to Gulf Breeze High in my junior year, however, I was exposed to an entirely new paradigm. Most of the students are more outgoing, social, and interested in others; the funding is great with lots of up-to-date facilities, such as the cafeteria and its menu, classrooms, football field, parking lot, hallways, and the gym; the staff are more available and easier to work with; and the courses offered there are incredibly fun and satisfying with little stress.

Senior: My four-year experience at Central School has been OK. I have gained a love hate relationship with my high school. I love that the school is very close and a family because of the size, which allows me to receive help basically anytime i need. Although, I do dislike the disorganization; constant schedule changes, moving both rooms and teachers. Also, I have had a different guidance counselor each year and that made it difficult to build a relationship with them. I love my school, but I do wish it could improve on a few very important things.

Senior: My high school experience has been amazing! Jay offered me so many amazing opportunities. I was able to be a part of a variety of clubs, and was given the opportunity to play every sport I had hoped to. Jay is a very open-minded school and they take into consideration every idea they are given. For example, my dad started the first tennis team Jay has ever had when i was in the fifth grade, and because of this, I was able to participate in the sport that has shaped me throughout the years.

Parent: My child is an 8th grader at GWUOHS. We have been really pleased with the rigorous curriculum and the live classes, as well as the independent lessons. The pace of the courses are rapid and the assessments are varied, from quizzes and tests to papers and graded assignments where she shows her work. Prior to GWUOHS, she was bored at her private school and unchallenged by the classes. Now, she is excited and is working much more to her full potential. The teachers interact with the students like professors, and are a lot of help when needed in help sessions. Her fellow students are a diverse bunch, and they are all positive and supportive of one another. She has made friends with students from various parts of the country. Also, as a competitive athlete, she can accommodate her practice and competitive schedule more easily with online school without sacrificing rigor. Five stars!
