Junior: My personal experience at North Augusta High School is a wonderful one. I really enjoy the big school atmosphere, we have a large campus with many subject wings and a large library, gymnasium, and weight room. One of my favorite things about my high school are the teachers. I love the way my teachers both engage with students but also make sure they learn and grow. One thing I would like to see change here is the parent opinion impact. Alum: Aiken High provides adequate resources for a student to explore an education centered on college preparation, career center opportunities, and more. The experience of Aiken High is a humble upbringing. While our facilities and funds did not flourish, our educators' love and persistence prevailed. During events such as spirit weeks, paint the sidewalk, senior fair, and more our educators gave us memories that will last a lifetime. The teachers and atmosphere of Aiken High guide every student to a life of their choosing, giving them the resources to accomplish anything in the realm of this world. With all of these exceedingly special memories and educational reinforcements, one could conclude that schools will always need some form of change. For Aiken High that change would be for unity. Parent: Midland Valley High School is a great school with its focus on improving the student from the inside out. The school has wonderful teachers who have a passion for enhancing learning in their students. The administration is made up of former students who have a vested interest in the community and they understand that these students will one day live in the community. This is especially important to invest in them now since they will one day send their children to the school and become a part of the community. There have been an enormous amounts of upgrades to the grounds and school which fosters a sense of pride that the students can be proud of. Senior: Staff and teachers are generally very friendly and truly care about students education. Sometimes feel that the students there aren't very safe to be around (tends to be a lot of fights). Junior: My name is Ayreanna Wood and I attend Wagener-Salley High School. I love that it is a small-town school. I feel that I receive more opportunities this way. My school provides an abundance of after-school activities from sports, to clubs, to tutoring. I would not want to go to any other high school. The only things that I do not like about my school is that there are things that need to be updated. Wagener-Salley High was established in 1911 and not much has changed to the interior or exterior since. Also, we have a lack of teachers. My accounting class was cut short this year due to a teacher getting fired. The lack of teachers creates the lack of opportunities. There is an unavailability of bus drivers as well.... Sophomore: Aiken Scholars Academy is a warehouse of academically gifted kids. The best part of my experience are the fun activities the student body setup.
