Sedalia Park Elementary School
#9 Most Diverse Public Elementary Schools in Cobb County
Parent: Our daughter attended Kindergarten & is in 1st grade here. Our neighbors who've recently attended K-5 & are smart, caring, & empathetic children. Teachers, para-pros, & staff have been excellent. They're cooperative & understanding of our needs.
We love the diversity & their handling of different cultures, languages, religions, ethnicities, etc. is inclusive & welcoming; yet maintains core American culture.
Academics are challenging. Students receive support to achieve.
There are "Specials" (electives): PE, Music, Art, Computers, & Counseling. Counseling reviews listening & learning skills, the Golden Rule, drug & alcohol abstinence, etc.
After school activities: ballet, chess, engineering, Spanish Immersion, Piano & guitar, art, soccer, football, cheer, & martial arts (all have costs). After-school Program (ASP) is run by another organization & is very good. Children are busy & organized with activities & snack & require the same behavioral standards of the school.
