Senior: Though I am almost done with my time here at Boston Trinity, this is my home. This is my family. With our new covid protocols, we have lost a lot of the aspects that make the community what it always is but I wouldn't want to be in any other community during this time. Yes we are stressed, yes we miss a lot of our typical activities, yes this was so unexpected and sad but our school has dedicated all of their energy to salvage what they can of our small tight knit fun loving community. Alum: Al-Noor Academy is an amazing school with a lot to offer. First and foremost, Al-Noor's Religion and Arabic programs are top tier. The effort the teachers put in is apparent after each lesson. You come out of Br.Sofiane's religion lessons not only learning more about Islam but also wondering how you're going to implement what he taught into your own life. The Arabic lessons are comparable to those of schools in Arab countries. Secondly, Al-Noor is known to send students to some of the most prestigious colleges in the USA including Harvard, MIT, Brown, Cornell, UChicago, Tufts, BU, BC, and more. Parent: Our family has been a part of the Lexington Christian Academy community for five years. Our child is in the Upper School, is thriving and loves LCA. 2020 has been a year like no other and LCA has risen to the challenge to provide an excellent education. When the pandemic hit, LCA was able to pivot to online learning within a couple of weeks. The administration and teachers worked tirelessly to create a learning experience as close to what is provided in-person at LCA. The technology, support, consistent communication to all parents and students was in place. This school year, LCA has been in-person with some remote days. The transition between the two has been seamless. LCA has taken all the necessary precautions to allow students and staff to be in-person at LCA. Alum: At Groton, I feel that I have been able to become a more independent and conscientious person during my time at this school. The best thing about this school is the resources that it provides the students. Here, I feel that I can be whoever I like because the teachers, dorm parents, coaches, and community is supportive of everyone's quirks, interests, and dreams. The teachers are approachable and dedicated, and work hard to provide students with a positive experience and I have made some of the truest and most diverse background friends. However, while at my time here, I have noticed that there is a toxically competitive culture here. Moreover, sometimes it is hard to get leadership positions in clubs because one has to be "connected" or popular, and the unsafe hook-up culture NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED! Junior: I LOVE CA! As a current day student, I don’t have many regrets about my choice to go CA. The academics are manageable but rigorous, super friendly community, and most teachers really put in an effort to connect with students. CA is centered around common trust basically meaning that we all have trust in each other and put effort to foster a community. With that said, that is the case about 90% of the time. I’ve had a couple negative experiences with teachers and students who simply just don’t adhere to the common trust. Parent: Our children moved from a local State school to BISB three years ago. I started freshman year at my local public school, but in search of harder classes and more opportunities, I transferred to MC. And I firmly believe I found just what I was looking for. While it is true that my class is only the second girls class to go through the girls side, MC has treated us well. The classes are engaging and rigorous and are preparing us well for college. In fact, AP classes are offered since freshamn year. Our athletics are also very strong. This past school year we had several teams make it to championships and finals. Senior: I am a current Newman School Senior and I have loved being apart of this community! It really does feel like family. Everyone from the students to the teachers really do want to see us succeed. The school offers several clubs and creates such an easy space to start your own and add to the benefit of the community. Being located right in the city is another major bonus. We have easy access to several forms of transportation and when the weather is nice, often times students go and have lunch outside. Sometimes teachers take us outside for class too which is always nice. The school is also very flexible with students schedules who have high demand extra curricular activities outside of school. Which is nice for students who would otherwise only have the option of home school and don't necessarily want to do that. Alum: Overall, this is a good program. There are some staff who are very careless and spend more time on their phones than with students, but the majority of staff is people who care. The entire clinical team and administration is fantastic and will fight for your child's needs as they did for mine. Before Glenhaven, I had nothing and no one as a 17 year old having been in programs for 3 years prior. I was at Glenhaven until I was almost 19, and with the help of everyone there was able to graduate with a great GPA and get into an awesome university.
