Parent: We have had an amazing experience at Burgundy! Our daughter loves school and we find it to be a great balance of both independence and structure to help her flourish. The teachers are wonderful and focus on the whole child with education that includes academic, emotional and social development. It is a strong community that is supportive of students and families. We love how the curriculum ties into areas of interest for the children and helps to build lifelong love of learning and appreciation for the world around them. They are able to enjoy a lot of time learning in nature on their beautiful campus. We can't imagine being anywhere else for the K-8 experience.... Read 11 reviews

Parent: We switched to Sheridan during the pandemic joining a small community that focused on the safety of our children while limiting the disruption to their education. The administration did a stellar job. What truly stands out is how well rounded a Sheridan education is. In addition to the more traditional academics, its arts and music instruction as well as its focus on diverse communities through the student clubs is truly exceptional. We chose a K-8 school because of the added focus on the middle school years which can be difficult transition years. As the school skews young the older kids don’t grow up too fast. This is a gentle school. Middle school students mentor the lower school students. My son loves his mentor and he looks forward to becoming a mentor to a lower school student himself. Finally, Sheridan is a school that builds confidence. In 7th grade, students lead their own high school selection under the guidance of their teachers. This is incredibly empowering!... Parent: Our journey began in Sprouts, then Early Childhood. The EC teachers created a space where my child felt welcome and loved. The daily, weekly, and seasonal rhythms changed our life. There’s meaning and intention in everything. Free play introduced social skills and problem solving. The EC program feels like your coziest blanket. Now in the grades, my child is an avid reader, making lifelong friends, and excited for school every day. The field trips are incredible experiences full of memories and skills to last a lifetime. Art and beauty are woven into every subject. Every child learns to ride a bike, participate in woodwork/handwork, play instruments, learn 2 languages, and recess is twice a day. Interacting face to face and growing relationships without screens is important to me. The community is diverse in many ways, which I love.
