Parent: We have been at Casa for 3 years now, with a child in 2nd grade and another in Kindergarten. My older child is now fluent in Spanish, and his other academics are very impressive as well. We have been very happy with both of their teachers, they are so loving while still being able to implement discipline when necessary. Senior: This is amazing i went to this school starting in pre-k(age 4) and continued all the way until 5th i have learned so much in so many ways. It has helped me to try to things my self first then instead of when i first get stuck run to the teacher. it has taught me not to rely on everyone else when i need help because soon enough i will get it. It has taught me to ask for help when i need it the most. it is also so diverse that by time u get through all the gades you will learn how not to see people by color but just how they really are. Parent: This school is an amazing place for my child. The teachers committed to the Montessori method inside and outside of the classrooms. My child use to attend afterschool and often asked if he could stay a little longer at school. All of the staff care for the children as though they were their own. The upper levels, middle and high school, focus on responsibility, work ethic and practical life skills in addition to standard courses. Parent: ILIM School is one of a kind! My daughter is thriving at her school. She is learning four different languages, English Mandarin, Spanish and Arabic. It’s not a lot for a child, they soak it up, this is the age to do it! My daughter doesn’t realize that she’s actually learning the languages because it’s full immersion and interactive. It’s a lot of hands on and learning through play, which is one of the fundamentals of Montessori. They have a lot of activities and manipulative, which gives kids a great foundation to learn concepts, and to cultivate the love of learning. The school is also very diverse which teaches the children how the real world looks at a young age. They also learn about different cultures. The classroom sizes are small, which gives them a lot of attention. It’s just an overall amazing community filled with warmth and positivity. Our daughter has thrived at Prep due to the outstanding, dedicated teachers who teach academic lessons plus lessons focused on social skill and leadership development. She has had the opportunity to take excellent classes that align to her interests (including STEM, Technology, Music, Drama, Spanish, and PE), and the school constantly offers new learning options. Prep offers small class sizes and a diverse and truly welcoming community. We toured so many private schools in Charlotte before making our choice, and there really is nothing like Prep. Parent: We have been extremely pleased with the support and the education that MSR provides! The administration has been great to work with and they are fully engaged with families as they follow each child. The teachers have been outstanding - they are available during and after school to help students with upcoming assignments, tests, etc. Our child's national testing scores have consistently come back in the upper level which shows the education is following grade level. Our child has really enjoyed their time at MSR - met many great friends and formed great relationships with the administration/teachers. Parent: 9 years ago we enrolled our daughter into the French program (la Maison) and over the years have grown to love and appreciate the Montessori philosophy, which has fostered a true love of learning, curiosity and confidence. The language teaching is rigorous and effective - most teachers are teaching from their native language. In addition, the classroom emphasizes peace and courtesy lessons in their daily interactions, an invaluable part of their learning. The school leadership is accessible, professional and compassionate - has exceeded my expectations in managing Covid.
