Senior: I have been a student with TCAH for two years now and will be graduating next semester. TCAH is such a welcoming, friendly community that continually helps every student excel. The staff not only customizes your experience so that you as a individual can learn the best way possible, but also are always there to respond to questions or concerns without hesitation. I’ve never be apart of a community that is more caring and kind to one another, which in turn has allowed me to perform much better academically. I highly recommend TCAH to any student who feels their academic needs are not being met elsewhere!

Senior: To the outside eye, Allen can be quite overwhelming because of its sheer size. However, because of this size tons of upsides, for me I have had no trouble finding something to do with its numerous clubs and organizations, I have had no trouble with friends as you can move on from groups and never have to see them again. In addition to this, all school events are 10x times the size making dances, sporting events, and musical events a BLAST! So, all in all, it has been an amazing 4 years at this school because in addition to all of its incredible merit education-wise it has amazing social opportunities.

Sophomore: In my 2 years of being a part of the North Shore Senior High, I feel as if I have grown much more than in middle school. The campus is extremely large and very new, so a type technology, like big touch screens, are literally in every room of the building. Learning is interactive and the teachers try their best to connect with their students while making whatever subject they are teaching, fun! Even though the campus is large, the amount of students is also very overwhelming. So much so, that another campus had to be made not that far from the senior high, so that overcrowding while on passing period was not as bad. Overall, I have loved my experience so far and look forward to completing this year and the two I have left.

Alum: As part of the class of 2020 I really enjoyed the memories that I made at Lewisville High School. I love how diverse the student and faculty is. As part of drill team, stuco and avid I really enjoyed the many memories I made in drill team from football games to pep rally’s . I loved the school spirit that we have specially during these times how we did our best to keep our school spirit alive! Being first generation , avid really helped me with maintaining my grades and helping with my college process.

Senior: The school overall has a lot of courses that a student can choose from. There is something for everyone even if one thinks the contrary. There is clubs for everything and if there is not, you can make one-- with authorization of course! Their health-internship program was enlightening and was a highlight for many students exploring the health science field. Despite the amount of people and courses, I'd say that I would like to see a change within the administration because they are not as easily approachable and sometimes fail to recognize the needs of some students.

The Woodlands High School has been a wonderful experience! Junior: I really enjoy the amount of diversity that is present in this culture. Nearly everyone I know has a different background. Nobody is really mean or evil-spirited, and students as well as teachers try to help one another if possible. Speaking of teachers, they great at their job and take their time to interact have try to have some fun with students, making it a understable and easygoing learning experience. The one thing that I would isn't so great is the food. The food isn't always something you want to eat, as it sometimes doesn't taste good. I hope the menu receives a change sometime soon. If theirs one aspect I like the most about the school, it is most certainly sports, mainly football. I love football to death, and I even play for my school! I enjoy the team aspect of football, and how we have to work together as a family. It's pretty heartwarming to me.

Senior: For the last four years, I wouldn’t have wanted to go anywhere else. The staff and faculty did wonders for all of us in keeping us safe. I have many great memories that I’ll keep with me. Great friends with peers and teachers! A thing I’d like to see change is that there isn’t a “study hall” period. All they say is walk and talk which gives us no time to talk to friends that we don’t have in a class. As we go through school our friend groups change because we take different classes. Having a study hall period would allow students to use resources they may not have at home and rekindle their old friendships.

Senior: I have been in the same district all my life and I don’t think I have ever been introduced to anything better! Deer Park high school for me has its ups and downs, but I wouldn’t rather go to any other school. I am in the Early College program at my school and I was in the gist group to be apart of it at my high school. I love the fact that I am able to have this opportunity and also that I am able to speak with my counselor whenever I need to. Whether they are helping me out with the program or just some problems I may be having in my day to day life. I also want to mention that the staff and teachers are amazing! They really care about their students and what they will become in the future.

Senior: My experience at Hastings high school was very interesting but preparing for my future. This school had great teachers that helped me draw out my passion, as well as finding new ones. Though out the course of high school, I’ve learned so much about medicine through the school’s career programs. This specific program even gives me a wonderful opportunity to earn a pharmacy technician certification at a very low cost and even before graduation. Besides educating me about medicine, this school has a great fine arts program where I learned about drawing and painting.

Moreover, there was much diversity and school spirit which made everyone feel represented in school culture. Furthermore, I have made great friends that have each taught me something new. Hastings High School gave me a great high school experience that I will never forget.

Alum: When I went to Odessa High school, there was a lot of change going on. Whether it be the new math and science building or the use of the Whitaker building or not. While the change was hard to get acclimated too it was also a sign that Odessa high was trying to change and grow the school for the better! They have also built a very nice new auditorium! They are very big in the band so it is nice to see a school that is big on music and fine arts! They even have a mariachi program which is hard to find in a high school. I was in yearbook when i attended and it really taught me about dedication and hard work! I was also a part of the first district champions women’s golf team! It was nice to bring a new light to the sport of golf at the school! Odessa high is a very good high school and they continue to make changes with their students best interest at heart!

Senior: My time at Permian High School has been more than a challenge. What I like most about the school is the fact that both teachers and students were a support for my professional growth and maturation, and as an individual in this society. From the first year of school they knew how to help me, advise me and guide me towards my future goal. I had great achievements such as being a member of the National Honor Society, and my passion for music grew, specifically playing the French Horn. In band I found another family. In these 4 years I had many responsibilities and I also learned to contribute my bit in my community, making that passion for nursing grow in me. Now that I am close to achieving my dream and at the gates of university, I think that I would not change any of my experiences, and I thank God that I have been part of Permian High School. Go Mojo!

Every activity within the school gets recognition from each other and has flexibility for students to participate in multiple arts/sports. The school spirit is felt in every corner with our multiple regional and state championship teams in UIL for both the arts and sports. The teachers challenge the students to improve to a collegiate level. The diversity of the school has contributed to the schools' vast selection of clubs and unity. Tompkins is a very rigorous high school with high competition between students for the top ranks. The academics are very competitive in all endorsements, but specifically STEM. The high parent involvement and a great atmosphere have to lead to an increase in resources for both academics and extracurriculars. Speaking of extracurriculars there are many options that most schools do not provide. All in all Tompkins is an extremely good school that is filled with falcon pride!

Junior: My experience with Klein Oak High School has been one to remember. I have meet some incredible teachers, mentors, and friends in the place I can call home now. I look forward to waking up everyday to see these people even though school, for me, has always been something I do not necessarily enjoy some of the time. Since Klein Oak is a high school, there are limitations with freedom as well as every other high school. I often feel as though the classes I take are not ones that I am interested in but required to take regardless in order to graduate. I am looking forward to college, so I can broaden my view on things I find important rather than what I am forced to take to get into a college. I feel as though Klein Oak struggles with communication a lot of the time. Since it is such a big school, emails often get lost (understandably) and one on one time with teachers is basically impossible unless you are at the right moment at the right time. It's not always bad though, if you are shy!

Senior: Sam Houston is a warm place to be, everyone will welcome you with a big smile. I am very thankful to have the opportunity to be here, and will strongly miss the place. There is a lot of connection between students and staff, and good vibes are always around the halls. It’s true when our emblem says “I’m the halls of Sam Houston there are no strangers”. There are tons of clubs and activities to get into, projects and field trips to join, concerts and exhibitions to attend, and much more. Also, I really appreciate the patience and inspiration teachers emit to the students, thanks to them I got into science and math; hopefully to become the best engineer. I am full of good memories from this place, and an immediate feeling of nostalgia hits knowing I’m closer to leave. But know I’m ready to take the next step!

Sophomore: Although I am currently a high school sophomore attending Hebron High School, I would say they have been doing a very good job at providing high school students various resources not only for college preparation but also for other clubs, activities, and even fine arts/electives! Hebron High School has done many college fairs in the past, and have been reaching above-average levels to prepare us for college. However, the one category that the school would need to change is the food. Cafeteria food, as we all know, is terrible and not filling; therefore, I have been bringing my own food to school almost every day of the school year. Seeing what other kids have to eat just makes my appetite gone, so I would like to see the school have more filling and appetizing foods!

Junior: The bushes surrounding our school, the pleasant hellos from staff, and the eagle that lies in our center all unite Atascocita High under one idea- unity.
The last two years at AHS have showed me how important it is to show off your school spirit. Being a part of athletics helps me realize how important it is to show off skills in the classroom and on the field to future colleges. I look around and the cultures throughout classes differ, which unifies so many students. Fine arts programs are of the highest standards. Academics are of the highest quality, teachers helping you reach the next step of education with the best learning techniques.

However, steps for more growth are necessary. Communication between staff and student body are not communicated, announcements of college programs are not received by students, which creates much frustration.

My time at Atascocita has been successful academically and athletically and with one final phrase I'll end this review.

Alum: At my four years in Coppell High School, I had a great time learning about the various subjects offered at this school. I appreciated that CHS had many AP classes that I was able to learn form. I believe that this is a good school to receive education from. However, it is known throughout the school that the faculty and administration had a hard time communicating with teachers and students on important information. Sometimes students would find out about relevant news to teachers before teachers themselves. Overall, it is a good school and would recommend going here. We are one!

Senior: Overall, I had a great experience at Seven Lakes High School. It was a very challenging environment, but also one amazingly conducive to learning and growth. I had the opportunity to take a rigorous course load with several AP classes, exploring everything from Spanish Literature to Chemistry to Economics. This allowed me to narrow down my interests and figure out what I want to pursue further in college. Seven Lakes also offered a broad range of extracurriculars to choose from, and there truly is a place for everyone. Excellent faculty, excellent resources, excellent preparation. I loved it!

Junior: Flower Mound High School is overall a really, really good school. This high school is well rounded, as they excel in pretty much everything they do, academics, sports, bass fishing, robotics, theatre- you name it, they have it! They also have a lot of student run clubs that are completely formed by passionate students who want to see a change in their school so they make it happen! We have a competitive gaming club now that a student formed just because he wanted to game with his friends more! The opportunities are limitless! Senior: Round Rock High School is a great place to learn many life skills because of the great number of students that attend this High School. You learn about many different type of people because of the diversity as well. This improves your social skills, your ability to easily navigate large areas (which is great for college), and many more! RRHS prepared me for college significantly. However, I do believe RRHS should be more careful in choosing which teachers/staff to hire and monitor the staff closely. I recommend this because I personally and many other students have had many negative encounters with staff.

Senior: Harmony is a good school. I have attended since I was in fourth grade and to be honest I always complained about how much of a small school it was and how they didn’t have much to offer. Looking back as a senior, about to graduate, I enjoyed my time at Harmony. I feel confident in the education I received there and the morals they taught me. I also believe that because it is smaller it is easier to connect with teachers and make friends. As for what they have to offer, the school has grown so much in the years that I have attended and with it the horizons on what they offer. I believe that almost anyone can feel welcome at Harmony!
