Parent: PD is far more than a top notch TK-12 college prep school! It is truly a community of dedicated, attentive & engaged teachers, administrators, staff, parents & families. PD is our second home. The curriculum is rigorous, the extracurriculars are wide ranging, and mental health & student support services are exemplary. More importantly, the student service opportunities are limitless and students actively participate by choice. We chose PD due to their welcoming of diverse families, and my daughters have close friends from a wide range of backgrounds, religions, and ethnicities. My oldest daughter recently matriculated from PD to a highly selective college and hasn't missed a beat. PD prepared her to solve problems, think critically, manage her time, practice self-care and instinctively make a positive difference in the larger community. Alum: Country Day is an incredible school with excellent teachers, passionate coaches, and a friendly student body. The school fosters a strong sense of community and truly cares about its faculty. Country Day also offers extra-curricular activities that provide students with the opportunity to perform at the highest levels of athletic, artistic, and academic competition. Having completed my freshman year of college, I can easily say that I was better prepared than many of my fellow first year students. Country Day is truly a college preparatory school in every sense—alums will be equipped with the skills they need to thrive in college, provided they are willing to work hard. Alum: CLS prepared me so well for college. I attended a top university and felt like the transition from high school to a rigorous college environment was smooth––if not easier than my high school workload. The faculty at CLS invest in the students and encourage the value of learning more than perfection and top grades. I regularly keep in touch with old teachers and coaches, which not many of my non-CLS friends relate to. While diversity is historically lacking, the DEI office is spectacular and led by inspiring individuals who seek to make Latin a more inclusive place. The only negative comments I have in regard to my CLS experience relate to the parents of students. I never encountered high school bullies in my peers, but some of the parents of my peers were weirdly over-invested in their children's social lives and college "competition." Senior: I first went to Metrolina Christian Academy as a junior in high school. Most would think this late transition in my high school years would be difficult, but this school made it so easy to adjust. The students are very welcoming and the teachers are the most personal teachers I've ever met. MCA has helped me grow in my Christian faith and helped me mature as a young woman of God. Alum: I graduated in the class of 2020. I absolutely loved CFA. All of the teachers really care about you and want you to succeed in school and outside of school. I played 3 sports and they would even come to my games! I really enjoyed the atmosphere, it was small enough to know everyone but big enough to have sports teams/theatre programs. Parent: My son was part of the inaugural Kindergarten class when this campus opened in 2018. We toured another campus in the Raleigh area prior to choosing Thales for our son. We have been very impressed with Thales Academy in the 3 years we have been sending him. The building is brand new with huge windows and beautiful murals inside. The number of students has grown every year. Although it is still a relatively small school, they still provide all the benefits of a larger institution. Technology, Art, Music, and PE are taught every week. Thales utilizes locally-owned restaurants to offer a variety of hot lunch options every day. Throughout the year, they also provide access to a number of after school programs such as Spanish lessons, running clubs, cooking classes, computer programming. Thales is a year-round school. Senior: Cramerton Christian is a wonderful school. They hold biblical values and treat you like family. I started going to Cramerton when I was in kindergarten. I left in 6th grade and went to a different middle school and then came back in 10th grade. I got a scholarship for Cramerton because I went to a public school and then back to the Christian school. The teachers are all wonderful and they love their students. The only thing I would change is the disciplinary system. There should be more action taken for students way out of line. Parent: I have never seen my Kindergartener so confident and comfortable. She loves going to school everyday and loves to learn. In fact, she asked to skip movie night the other night and work in her math workbook. She has adopted Trinity's "noticing" culture and tells me all the time patterns or beauty she notices in the world. The teachers are so loving, caring and creative. Alum: Christ the King was truly the perfect fit for me for all my 4 years of high school. The small school atmosphere and the ability to truly connect with teachers is something that you really cannot find at any public schools in the area. The athletics are fun, and improving every year and give every student an opportunity to participate, which led to some of my best memories at the school. While the administration has certainly had their issues in recent years, I believe the school is on the upswing, and teacher retention rates will begin to improve. Christ the King truly offers a unique experience, that prepares you extremely well for the college environment.
