Senior: I am an immigrant and came to the U.S at the age of 16. As far as I know BPS is the most diverse school district in the country and I can see that reflected in the high school I attended which is just for immigrant students. My school was very supportive through my process of adapting to the language and basically my new life here and also during the pandemic. Although I give it 4 stars because I truly believe that there's room for improvement with the resources available for small schools because just the three exam schools are the ones that get the more resources and support from the district, which is limiting for the students who attend small schools.... Senior: My experience at Lynn Public Schools was very good! I met amazing teachers, counselors, and peers that have inspired me everyday! I was academically challenged but also supported. The only thing I would change is the way different type of students are supported! Having the faculty learn what intersectionality is and how it affects every student at our school is very important! Senior: I only attended for my Senior Year at Lowell High and even so, it was all online. I enjoyed all of my classes but I did not make or have any friends. Senior: I really loved the academic opportunities I had and the constant push to learn more. I was always encouraged to learn more and exercise my academic curiosity whether it be in class or extracurriculars. In particular, I had a wonderful experience with the Speech and Debate team in which I found a second family and got to compete in something I am passionate about. The student-led leadership in Newton is also something to mention since many of the campaigns and activities are brought to fruition by students. That being said there is this undeniable pressure within the Newton public schools regarding academics and class placements. Sophomore: Honestly, in my current district, there are student and program diversity. There is some bullying in primary grades but it's not too bad. There are definitely many activities, clubs, teams, sports, or events for anyone or everyone. Academically, in my experience FRPS schools typically have above-average content and quality. I take all Honors and AP courses, they are challenging but are enriching, and valuable, they are also true to the core curriculum. I feel my education, is preparing me for higher education, my career, and the real-world. Though my classes are tough and stressful they are insightful, and I feel that they are worth investing in. Another bonus is that teachers try to engage students as much as possible. I will not lie, as a student, sometimes I have to immerse myself in bland or reoccurring topics. Niche User: I grew up in Taunton. Overall, Taunton public schools have an amazing system and great people. Even after graduation in 2017 I still reconnect with individuals from the school system. Senior: Revere public schools is where I made all of my friends. With all the sports, activities, and clubs you have a lot of options to make and hang out with friends. Revere schools have just about every sport. I got to do cheer, lacrosse, cross country, and powderpuff. There is also a larvae diversity in revere public schools . As a girl who only speaks english I’m able to say hello in about four different languages. I transfered from the Northeast Metroplian highschool my junior year and came to Revere high school. This was the best decision because I really feel like i’m living the american high school dream. From the big football games, to competitive womens flag football, to pep rallys. You'll certainly get a different experience at the different elementary and middle school's, they're all different. Junior: The Shrewsbury Public School System consists of understanding, helpful, and hardworking teachers who truly put in their best effort to give students a meaningful learning experience. The variety of subjects and classes offered allows students to figure out their areas of interest and focus on whatever topics they choose. The different levels of difficulty of the classes - B level, A level, Honors, and AP - makes it so everyone is comfortable and appropriately challenged in their classes. To add on, there are numerous clubs and groups after school so everyone can find something they enjoy and explore hobbies. Although the schools are quite ideal, the college readiness aspect could be improved. Juniors are not really informed on how to best prepare for or what to expect during the college application process.
