Senior: New school I love the area! It’s right down the road from Dunwoody High School which is great for when your child grows up. I did volunteering here for National Honor Society and the students are so sweet!! The teachers were very kind as well. Also, the building itself is so nice too!

Alum: I entered Paideia in eight grade. The biggest difference between Paideia and my old school was the the focus on the arts. Paideia has great musical and visual arts facilities. Something else very noticeable about Paideia is the amount of free rein the school gives it teachers in the classroom. Teachers are allowed to choose what topics they want to cover over the semester; they're also given a lot of choice in how they want to teach that topic. Much of the education I received there (except for a handful of classes) strayed from any standard state or federal curriculum. I was able to receive a very unique and wholistic education there. Preparation for AP tests can be a little lacking though, there aren't as many AP classes offered as there would be in most high schools. The school is also not as racially diverse as most schools in Georgia, but it does make genuine efforts to confront racial issues in an educational setting. The school also has a phenomenal college prep department.

Alum: I had a good experience at Indian Creek Elementary School overall. My favorite about Indian Creek Elementary School was its diversity. I love how diverse it is because there is so may people from so many different countries from all over the world. This gives students plenty of opportunities to connect with different types of people and learn about different cultures, just like what my experience was. I wish the school food would change because students have had several issues about the state of the food. The school would become better overall if the food was healthier for the students.

Parent: It is, in general, a good school. But teacher turn over is HIGH and you play the teacher lottery. Many are great, some are ok but there are several that are not good and a few that are terrible.
Also, there is over 900 student currently enrolled. My daughter is in a "module" which is a fancy word for a trailer. Decatur did not plan well for how many people have moved here.

Parent: Globe has a great community of parents, teachers, and students! Class sizes are small enough for individual attention but big enough to foster conversation and a great learning environment. The dual language immersion allows students to be fluent by the end of elementary school and prepared for college level language classes by the end of 8th grade.

Works Here: Excellent staff with a diverse student and staff population. Best staff ever! An IB school with tremendous focus on Reading/ELA, STEM, Arts and Physical Education. Parents are very active via the PTA and there is an incredibly strong school foundation. Students regularly have opportunities to participate in fundraising activities involving local and national not-for-profit organizations.

Junior: One of the best elementary schools. Great teacher- parent relationship.
Parent involvement and input respected. Students are exposed to more than just book knowledge. I would recommend this school to anyone moving into this area.

Narvie is equipped to meet all needs... Gifted, Special Education, Speech, etc.
This school has a dynamic chorus that travels each year. They offer EIP Reading and Math to assist a slow learner to make sure that are successful in the subject matter being cover. Other programs that they do offer include Spanish, Art, and Chorus.

Niche User: I am a student a DATE and overall I believe that DATE is an awesome school although it has no bus service it is a nice school.My favorite part about the school is what they do for their students and their features that make the school stand out such as the greenhouse,chicken coop,garden,and pond.Overall DATE is a amazing school.

Parent: You've come to the right place! My family has been at Springmont for 8 years and we are so glad we found this gem of a school. Springmont is a community where not only will your children find a place that honors their unique talents but you find a supportive parent community. I have always looked for academic environments where my children could go beyond mastery of concepts (this is obviously very important) to develop a passion for the learning process. As a result of their Springmont education, both of my kids have learned to independently pursue what interests them, go deeper on topics they learn in school, and show creativity to build on what they learn by teaching others. The teachers here truly know what's special about each child and its clear that they care. The kids build memories here that they will take with them for the rest of their academic careers. We know, just ask the alumni who come back to share each year!
